Chrome not recognizing NMM links with MO

Hello, I'm having problems with MO. Basically what the title says, Chrome is not recognizing the "Download with NMM" button, but other browsers do, like Firefox.

 

So, is there any way I can solve this problem?

I think that this would be a Chrome problem. I've noticed that it works intermittently for myself. I'm not sure what causes it.

It used to work fine before though, I installed Windows 8.1 (Before the nexus server change) and now when I want to use it with the S.T.E.P guide it stops working.

 

I'll probably stick to Firefox for now, however a workaround this would be really appreciated.

Ah! I could have guessed! This is another thing I had noticed. It works perfectly fine on Windows 7 but has trouble in Windows 8. I've yet to figure it out and has proved to be a mystery to me. I'm guessing there is some sort of security setting that is blocking it. Perhaps Smartscreen Filter? I don't know. I'm merely guessing at this point.

I don't think I'm using that (Smartscreen, and similar things) since I deactivated those on installation.

 

However, I'm using Avast, but I think that would also affect Firefox.
