Constant crashing when opening/browsing menu

Not the start menu, but the menu you bring up in Skyrim. Opening it isn't the issue, going through it is and I have no idea when it'll happen. It's basically a problem that came up in my old topic here starting at post 18, except not so much freezing anymore just crashing: https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=3803&page=2

 

This time though I don't nearly have so much added, mostly on the account that I've basically started a new game and following the STEP guide...with a few add-ons and a few things that I didn't like. But mostly true to the guide, honestly.

 

CPU: Intel i5 3570k 3.4 Ghz

RAM: 8 GB

Video Card: Nvidia Geforce 660 Ti

OS: Win7 Pro 64bit

You can just copy paste in your load orders etc. in spoiler tags instead of file download.... this is preferred, since downloading the odd files from forums is not really something I go about doing much! :)

 

Also going to need a complete mod list in spoiler tags (Or just some indication of which texture overhauls etc you use.). Also driver version of your GFX card if you can get it! :)

As for texture overhauls I followed the STEP guide. And my driver version is 331.65.

Same cause as earlier... you just have too much stuff. Some of it even of questionable compatibility.

 

My suggestion would be to make a new save, without all the extra added stuff, and then start to add it in a few mods at a time, until the issue present itself.

 

These menu issues are largely reproducible since the cause is almost always the same.

Alternatively you can try the new safety load mod and see if that helps ya out...

Off the top of your head, what do you think conflicts? I admit that I deviated from STEP, but not far so I'm not entirely sure what might've hit it. Anything to save me some time doing the 'New, slowly add mods' troubleshooting.

 

Actually, I've tried out the Safety Load. It's working great so far, no more infinite loading screens.

No, I've been using it for about a day so far and I still get the menu crashes. Everything else is fine though, the only problems I've had so far are the crashes when I'm using the menu for what-have-you.

 

Hmm, no scratch that. No more infinite loading screens but I've crashed twice after playing when I got back from work. The first one was pretty much right at the start of the game, I exited out of Wolfskull Cave and literally took a single step and crashed. The 2nd one was just now, I was checking the map and I pressed E and I crashed. Odd.

 

Crashed again, this time by opening the map and selecting Embershard Mine. And my first infinite load screen even after having Safety Load. Entered Embershard Mine, killed bandits, exited out, and infinite load screen. Waited about 5 minutes just to make sure, then ctrl+alt+del, and did End Process via Task Manager.
