Missing Burn Textures and a random CTD when going to Whiterun

When I started playing, everything works fine, save for when the dragon breathes fire/you cast a fire spell. The charred textures on the ground are just not showing up, instead it's a bright purple glow thanks to my ENB. Its been a week or two since I installed and tested STEP and I haven't managed to get back to it so I forgot which mods effected the spell textures and what I can do to fix it.

 

Secondly, when going from Riverwood to Whiterun, I get a random crash to desktop near the brewery. Any ideas?

Well the mod Deadly Spell Impacts might be installed incorrectly or you might have optimized the files from that mod and now things are messed up. Also, if the burned effects on bodies are off that is Burn Freeze Shock Effects.

 

Try reinstalling the mod/s and then see if it is still purple.
