Hello STEP community hope someone can help me.

I have recently reinstalled Skyrim because of my problem posted here ( https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=2990 )

So i started a new game and had 3 crashes in 2 days 3 hours of gameplay+crashes at saving but i fixed the crashes at saving by reverting to an older save...

Here's my BOSS log:

My system+additional info:

i5-2500K

Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 3gb

8gb RAM 1333MHz

Save is 6.180mb big

Using Simple Borderless window+SKSE

Not using auto-or quicksave just new saves with the SKSE save hotkey

I really hope someone can help me cause I'm completely out of ideas how to fix this

So you have crashes on save ?

Or do you have a crash after 3 hours of playing , and then when you try to save ?

I am not entirely sure what you mean.

If you can play for prolonged periods of time (1h +) with just one crash your game is about as stable as it gets...

no i just sometimes have crashes on saving but it's rare. It's crashing very irregular sometimes after 10 min sometimes after 1 hour. But i don't think that's very stable because my system isn't the worst and i then don't know what it's causing. The save can't be corrupt with that playtime and not using auto and quicksave... So it must be one mod. So does anyone know what mod in my load order may cause it?

With your list it could be more then one mod....

SkyRe is a (insert bad word) to make stable with anything! Also I see you are using quite a few script related mods and some I do not even know or have seen on any STEP or SR install before.

My guess would be that you have quite a few mod conflicts, that you could tes5edit your way out of, but it would be a rather large undertaking with that list.

Also stuff like dynavision is known to cause save game issues.. at least the earlier versions when combined with larger mod lists.

More then likely you just have too many scripted mods on... try to reduce the amount of those first and see how much stability increase you get.

Also reduce your shadow resolutions in the ini.... there is no need for 4k on the shadows.. all it does is to increase the load on the CPU since it is what handles the shadow computations. The difference between 2k and 4k is so minimal, and if you want really great shadows you should be using an ENB for it instead.

Also you have some threaded entries in the ini´s... those have been reported to cause instability by other users, but nobody have ever reported that they increased performance! There are a few others you could also remove, in general you have just added many things that essentially does nothing. Only do ini tweaks that make an actual visual or performance wise difference! Not just because some other guy reported that it made world peace (in skyrim).

So i reduced the texture size of the shadows and installed ENBoost and now it's running quite stable no crash in 2 hours of gameplay but the game sometimes crashes when saving using savehotkeySKSE which creates a full save when pressing a defined key. Is the mod causing this or what. Is there any way to fix this iusse?

Save the built in way ?

Sounds like a completely redundant feature to have a new "quicksave" feature added.

I am aware that there is a difference between the different ways of saving, but using yet another script mod for something that you can do in 2 clicks just seems silly.

As for the general stability... that is what you can expect from the build you are using. If you want to improve further then its time to learn how to use tes5edit to hunt down incompatibilities on your own and improve stability that way around.

Well i'm not using this method anymore but i now use RealVisionENB (performance version) with enboost and when wandering around etc. it just rarely crashes but when in a longer combat (for example dungeon with 1-2 enemies every 20m it's crashing every 5 minutes or so. What can cause this? Maybe a corrupt save? Because as i entered Ilinitas Depth or so and saved at the entrance it crashed 3 times in maybe 10 minutes loadorder still the same i think i just removed UFO and installed some magic mods like phenderix and apocalypse and immersive spells

Well here's a updated Boss log

same texture mods as before

In general every time you remove mods from a current save you most likely do something to destabilize it. Especially if it involves scripts.

Always decide on a mod list before starting playing! Test it out using the console, and then dont alter it.

Texture and mesh mods are the only thing you can alter all the time without any issues. Other then the odd texture or mesh with wrong settings, but that is solvable.

I found this pretty helpful. I am also having occasional CTDs and freezes, but not more often than once an hour if that. I guess I am relatively stable then. Still I do think I would like to reduce my esp list by combining mods with Tes5edit.

Let me redirect you to my post here about my experience with Skyrim Crashes, the crashes I address you described exactly.

In summary: It's because you use HD textures. But the long explanation is here:

https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=3319

A quick look at your mod list, I would consider uninstalling deadly spell impact (this mod "spawns" a lot of new textures and causes problems with heavily modded games) & Nernies cities expansion (any mod that adds stuff to areas that are already full of stuff is a cause of CTDs & infinite load screens) & Wet & Cold (great mod, but is very script heavy and in my experience, crashes my game in areas such as the Windhelm docks where it's snowing and there are lots of NPCs walking around) & dead body collision (the game wasn't designed with this in mind and you'll get twitching bodies and crazy physics occasionally, but this probably won't cause CTDs though) & automatic variants (this loads a lot more textures in each cell and similar to extra spawns, it may cause intermittent freezes and CTDs.)

I used to get random crashes, it can happen almost any where and the frequency is random as well.  Very annoying, now I don't get any crashes.  Me personally, I found it unacceptable for any game to crash once every hour.  It is very immersion breaking and it usually happens when you are really into the game and having a tense moment.  Extremely annoying.

I can tell you now that DSI causes freezes. I would get rid of it. Also, since installing Boris' new ENB Boost, I haven't had a single CTD. Never thought I would say that.
