Issues running Duel Sheath Redux Patch

Question

Posted

I have followed the instructions very carefully right up to running the Duel Sheath Redux Patcher and have run into issues.  When I run it, it says that it is unable to locate BOSS and for me to point it in the direction of BOSS.exe. When I do this it says it was still unable to locate BOSS and do I wish to continue with out it.  I naturally hit NO.  When I try the program again, again it asks me for the location of BOSS.exe, this time it does not give me the warning message about not locating BOSS and then appears to run.  Trouble is, I am not sure if its actually running BOSS this second time, or whether its just going ahead without it?  Any advice?

(I store my BOSS in skyrm/BOSS, and WyreBash is able to locate it and run it just fine

Hi,  I installed BOSS with the installer and I have run it via WyreBash multiple times and it works perfectly, so I assume the registry is fine.  Here is my question, it seems to run after the second time I load the patch as it no longer asks me about BOSS, but because the previous attempt ended with me being told 'sorry I still cant find BOSS, shall I run anyway?' (I said NO), I am not entirely sure if it IS running BOSS.  What is the process supposed to look like, is BOSS supposed to pop up briefly?? What I get is the patch progress bar running along and nothing else.  If BOSS is synching with the patch properly am I supposed to see something else?

After some testing, I think the issue is occurring because I installed BOSS manually which obviously did not create the registry keys the patch was looking for. After running BOSS directly, and via WyreBash, the patch recognized BOSS! Thanks for the help :)
