Question

Posted (edited)

Hi,

I have been having trouble getting the WTT mod to work correctly.

Game version: 1.6.1179
DynDOLOD DLL NG version: Alpha-32
DynDOLOD 3 version: Alpha-177

I made a new profile in MO2 and wrote down the steps I made, which seem to be according to the instructions of mod page. Yet terrain does not show on Solstheim from a distance (see image) unless I am loaded into that world (e.g., coc dlc1ravenrock01).

I based my xLODGen settings on the dyndolod.info page and the ACMOS page for LOD32, but I am not using ACMOS right at this time in case it would interfere.

What I did:
* Install and enable Worldspace Transition Tweaks.
* Generate only terrain for Tamriel and Solstheim in xLODGen64 4.1.5.0.
* Install and enable xLODGen output as mod.
* Generate Texgen.
* Install and enable Texgen output as mod.
* Generate for Tamriel and Solstheim in DynDOLOD with Occlusion plugin checked, terrain underside checked, and object LOD checked.
* Install and enable DynDOLOD output as mod.
* Plugin order is:
Skyrim.esm
Update.esm
Dawnguard.esm
HearthFires.esm
Dragonborn.esm
Worldspace Transition Tweaks - Skyrim To Solstheim.esp
DynDOLOD.esm
WTT - Skyrim-Solstheim - Worldsettings.esp
DynDOLOD.esp
Occlusion.esp
* Terrain on Solstheim is missing.

Mod load order (left pane):
PapyrusUtil - Scripting Utility Functions
DynDOLOD Resources SE
DynDOLOD DLL NG
Worldspace Transition Tweaks
xLODGen_Output
TexGen_Output
DynDOLOD_Output

On the latest version of my anti-virus it was detecting TexGen, LODGen, and Dyndolod executables as cryptojacking attempts and I added them to the exclusions. That must not have been enough. I paused all protection for the duration of the LODGen and received no error in the log and the Solstheim island has terrain now. Thank you for the help. The problem seems to be fixed now. I will have to see if I can configure my AV better so I don't have to turn it off entirely for the LOD process.

It can not generate terrain LOD meshes without LODGenx64.exe or if being denied access to it by the OS, antivir etc.

From the SSELODGen_log.txt
<Error: Could not execute "S:\DynDOLOD\xLODGen\Edit Scripts\LODGenx64.exe" "S:\DynDOLOD\xLODGen\Edit Scripts\LODGen_Terrain_Tamriel.txt">
[00:06] [Tamriel Default] Terrain LOD meshes generation error: System Error.  Code: 2.
The system cannot find the file specified

Do not install xLODGen into DynDOLOD folder. Do not mix files or merge.

From the Readme.txt included in the xLODGen download archive:
Install into a dedicated folder outside of any game folders, mod manager folders, Steam or other third party folders or special Windows folders like Program Files, Users, Desktop, Documents, Downloads etc. For example C:\Modding\xLODGen\

https://dyndolod.info/Help/xLODGen
Use 7-Zip to unpack the xLODGen download archive into a new and empty 'xLODGen' directory that is outside of special OS folders like 'Programs Files' or 'Program Files (x86)', User, Documents, Desktop, Download and also not in SteamApps, game, Data or any mod manager folders. For example C:\Modding\xLODGen\.

https://dyndolod.info/Installation-Instructions
Use 7-Zip to unpack the DynDOLOD Standalone archive into a new and empty 'DynDOLOD' directory that is outside of special OS folders like 'Programs Files' or 'Program Files (x86)', User, Documents, Desktop, Download and also not in SteamApps, game, Data or any mod manager folders. For example C:\Modding\DynDOLOD\. Ensure that the directory structure is preserved. See Updating how to update existing installation and save games.

Hello,

I'm making a post here in hopes I can get this resolved. I'm having issue with World Transition Tweaks not generating Solstheim in the map properly.

Map LOD is not rendering properly. Map LOD is not rendering properly.

Here is my log from LOD

The SSELODGen_log.txt was not provided.

You uploaded one LODGen log and one partical LODGen log for the spring season.
Make sure to generate terrain LOD meshes for all seasons and that all of them completed successfully, for example each LODGen log has Code: 0 at the end and there are no errors or warnings reported in the SSELODGen_log.txt.

Make sure the generated terrain LOD output is installed as a mod and overwrites everything.

Hello,

Just finished running lodgen. Here is the log. https://ufile.io/9agfc22c

Cheers.

The log shows that terrain LOD meshes for all seasons have been generated without error. There were still files in the output folder from a former generation, so terrain LOD texture generation was skipped. This could mean the output was not installed as a mod.

If the output was installed as a mod, check that none of its files are being overwritten by anything.

Doublecheck the terrain LOD meshes Tamriel.32.32.32.btr and Tamriel.32.64.32.btr (and all their season versions) each contain the Solstheim island with NifSkope.

Hello,

So as you sumarized, the issue isn't from lodgen because Solstheim as seen from Skyrim's overworld map looks fine. The issue arises when I run the lodgen file through the ACMOS Generator. Any thoughts on this? Cheers.

AFAIK the ACMOS road generator affects the terrain LOD level 32 textures but not the terrain LOD meshes which is what looks to be default/just water.

Make sure the generated terrain LOD meshes are still installed as a mod in the end.
