No TexGen Ouput Detected

Question

Posted

Still new to this forum, please ignore my ignorance. Thank you for the help yesterday sheson. I ended up just deleting the meshes and textures that were giving that Warning: File not found textures\architecture\windhelm\whicedecal01.dds. Used by Meshes\architecture\windhelm\whclancruelsea.nif Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp WHclancruelsea [STAT:000C0C2F]. Also straighten out the other errors i was getting with textures, so now I can generate TexGen output fine with no errors. Now I'm getting No TexGen output detected error when running the dyndolod exe. I have all dyndolod requirements and everything checked in the left panel of mo2. Am I missing something here?

Thank you for your time, genuinely. I'm not one to reach out for help frequently if you couldn't already tell from my lack of experience. Apologies as well I didn't think the other logs mattered for my specific problem, then again I'm just slow. Here are the rest of the logs you require. Thank you again I'm very grateful! I definitely know you don't have to be doing this. Hopefully just attaching the file is ok.

Install E:\Tools\Modding\DynDOLOD 3.00 Alpha\DynDOLOD\Edit Scripts\Export\TexGen_Output.zip in MO2 as a mod called like TexGen output.
Activate the TexGen output mod in MO2.
Move the TexGen output mod in MO2 to the highest priority so it overwrites everything.
In MO2 right windows Data tab, unfold [+] Textures [+] DynDOLOD, [+] LOD and check that the file file version.ini exists and is from the TexGen output mod.

In MO2, menu Tools, Settings, Paths tab check that Managed Game is E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim\TESV.exe

When running TexGen, also check Stitched Object LOD Textures.

Everything's working now. I would like to end this off by saying thank you for your time and and patience. You responded promptly while not making me feel less than for not knowing something that to you or someone else sees as simple. Some instructions, while they may be written, may not be as easy to understand as one thinks or someone could simply not be comprehending the given information correctly. With that being said if i run into any other problems, i would hope i can stop by again and be welcome with open arms. So THANK YOU AGAIN! Have a great rest of your day and i send positive vibes your way.

So I just recently installed dyndolod, installing the dll and resources mods for Skyrim VR as well through vortex.  I looked at a video showing how to add texgen and dyndolod to vortex as executables and run them.  I ran texgen no problem, but when I then tried to run dyndolod it came up with "lods not found, trying running texgen first".  But I just did... what am I missing?  I am a complete noob so I apologize if this is really simple stuff.

Moved to the appropriate thread for the message. See above. See https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Use-Search

Read and follow the actual instructions at https://dyndolod.info/Generation-Instructions#1-Generate-The-Required-LOD-Assets-with-TexGen and watch the embedded video below them.
Install the contents of the output path or the *.zip archive as a mod. It should overwrite everything. Consider moving the zip archive to the mod managers download folder for later re-use.
Do not forget to deploy.

The message window should have a link Click on this link for additional explanations and help for this message that open https://dyndolod.info/Messages/TexGen-Output as explained in https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Use-Search#Read-Log-and-Error-Messages.
Scroll down to the section No TexGen output detected and read everything and go through the check list.

If problem persists, read https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Post-Logs which TexGen and DynDOLOD logs and debug logs to upload.
