TexGen keeps halting completely when I have RealisticWaterTwo v5 mod installed.

It fails due to this reason:

Looking through the edit scripts file DynDOLOD\Edit Scripts\DynDOLOD\Configs\DynDOLOD_SSE_TexGen_noalpha_realisticwatertwoesp.txt

It seems that the script is expecting this file: textures\effects\FXWhiteWater02_falls.dds

Looking at textures\effects\FXWhiteWater02_fallsnoalpha.dds it is included in the DynDOLOD Resources SE 3.00 mod but the textures\effects\FXWhiteWater02_falls.dds file is missing. 

Can anyone confirm if I am doing something wrong or whether this is truly a missing texture in the Resources mod.

Open the load order in xEdit, open the Asset Browser with CTRL+F3, enter TreePineForestBarkCompSnow_p.dds into the filter and let me know which container(s) are listed for it.
Repeat for WoodEdgeTrim01_p.dds

The file not found errors won't matter much though, unless you can fix whatever is going on with the Texconv and DirectX and then TexGen having issues with creating the OpenGL renderer.

The Parallax version of Assorted Mesh Fixes causes this. If you have it replace the 

treepineforestbroken06_09e933e6_trunk.nif

mesh that comes with it with the one from the non-parallax version.

OP reported "the textures ARE in their respective BSA".

I suggest to report a mod having missing assets depending on their version or install options to author of the mod so they can fix it.

OPs primary problem is not really missing textures.

Running TexGen, I'm getting a File Not Found Textures error:

  Reveal hidden contents

I was told that one of my mods was trying to use these textures, but I don't know how to find which mod it is. Any idea to help?

The link has a 404 error. Read https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Post-Logs which TexGen log and debug log to upload to a paste or file service.

The messages tells you which NIF uses the textures. Use the MO2 right window Data tab to find out the winning mod for specific files like the mentioned NIF comes from. Do not forget to enable archive parsing in Tools, Settings, Workarounds tab.

I have no idea. I suggest to read its manual how to do such basic things or ask on its support forum.

The mod is probably Assorted mesh fixes

Amazing ! It seems that de-enabling Assorted mesh fixes - parallax stuff indeed fixed the issue !

How did you guess this was the mod causing a problem ?

Anyway, thank you very much !

 

PS: I'll try to look into how to do the manipulation you told me about in Vortex

ok so i managed to get the texgen to run, i just deleted the argument... now its saying i dont have the most recent Resources... but i do... ive changed it 3 times now

This can happen in case not all required *.BSA files are not loaded for whatever reason. The log prints a list of every *.BSA file that is loaded. Check that none of the required *.BSA files are missing by comparing the log messages to the load order.

Using Skyrim Special Edition Data Path: N:\Eldergleam\Game Root\Data\

The logs shows the Folkstead.esp being loaded but not its Folkstead.bsa which should contain the texture. Make sure the all the assets for the mod are installed.

If you do not point the tools to the same data folder as MO2 on purpose, then there should be no surprise that the tools can not find anything.
TexGen generated output for the vanilla game only.

Textgen is returning a file not founds error for Lux Via, can anyone provide some clarity? I have all patches for Lux Via installed.
