dreadflopp Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 I obviously missed something when installing Skyrim Revisited? Any idea which mod it is that needs to be re-installed?
0 Aiyen Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Looks more like a shader effect missing then a texture, are you using an ENB or some other mod that alters shadows etc?
0 dreadflopp Posted March 9, 2013 Author Posted March 9, 2013 I was using SkyRealism ENB with particle effect fix but I uninstalled it and it still looks like this. My install is Skyrim Revisited and harvest overhaul but without Bring out your dead (which causes immidiet CTD for me) and without magic duel.
0 Neovalen Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 SeriousHD perhaps? I think thats where the beach texture comes from if I recall correctly. (SR uses version 1.2.3)
0 dreadflopp Posted March 9, 2013 Author Posted March 9, 2013 Maybe, I not at home at the moment. But it's outside whiterun too. Mostly around water. But it looks like the real texture is underneath and some mist/fog is causing this effect.
0 Aiyen Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Try to re install the particle fix... I would be surprised if it was not a fog/mist/shadow shader thing... since if you removed any texture from MO the official HDDLC one should take its place.
0 dreadflopp Posted March 9, 2013 Author Posted March 9, 2013 It was SeriousHD 1.23 that was the cause. I am using skyrim realistic overhaul and thus have deleted the files I should have in SeriousHD. The cause was DDSopt. I had DDSopt:ed it with setting according to the guide and decreased the size of the normals to 1kx1k. The version before DDSopt works fine. I will try again and see if i get the same results.
0 dreadflopp Posted March 9, 2013 Author Posted March 9, 2013 Tried again, was not able to recreate the results. Which is actually good. But I wonder what I did wrong the first time and if any other mods are corrupt.
0 Aiyen Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 It is hard to tell if you cannot reproduce the effect with the texture in question. But since it has a semi transparent thing to it, then it is perhaps something in the normal map or a transparency map that failed.
