$ In Front Of Text Error

I had an issue with Wrye Bash, and now I get a $ in front of text.  Does anyone know what caused this?

I had this a long time ago, but I can't remember the exact solution. If Google fails, try verifying the Steam cache, I think it had something to do with the string files.

Problem: There are dollar signs ($) in front of all words in the main menu (and in lots of other places, too)!

 

Solution: This happens if you accidently removed Data/Interface/Translate_.txt.

To restore it, use Steam to verify the integrity of Skyrim's game-cache (Steam -> Library -> Properties of Skyrim -> Local files tab -> Verify integrity of game cache).

You should have installed English Strings for Skyrim anyway. :P
