DynDOLOD having problems when switching resolutions

Question

Posted

Hiya. I tried googling this and poking around in other places, but no luck, so I posted here.

My problem is that, I have DynDOLOD installed and working perfectly fine when I'm "normally" playing on 1920x1080. However, when I switch to 4K(via Geforce experience), it stops drawing tree LODs and only draws buildings. I'm really confused by this, since there's no error message or anything else going wrong.

This isn't a huge issue, more of an annoyance because I really love screenarchery, but if there's anything that can be done, I'd appreciate it.

DynDOLOD does not care about screen resolution obviously.

DynDOLOD is a LOD generator. It does not change how the engine works. It also does not change how static tree, object or terrain LOD works.

Verify the tree LOD distance in the SkyrimPrefs.INI or in SkyUI MCM is high enough to show trees. Otherwise the game might run out of resources.

I have to try that. I was thinking, could it just be the game running out of juice, so to speak? With tons of mods and 4k, could it just be too much so that it can't draw the trees? Sorry if this is a silly question, not really sure what is going on here.

E: Wow, it was really just the MCM settings. Didn't think it would be those since I didn't touch them while playing on standard resolution, but here we are.
