Question

Must seem too basic, but I'm confused.  The term Legendary Edition is commonly used to refer to Skyrim + all DLCs.  But it also refers to a very late edition of Skyrim, which included Skyrim + all DLCs plus some extra features like mounted combat.  I have Skyrim + all DLCs via Steam, but just purchased a physical copy of LE from Amazon.  In installing it and after installation nowhere did I see the words Legendary Edition or LE.  How can I verify what the heck I have?

Hello. Legendary edition is skyrim + all dlc's that's right. There are two editions legendary and special. Special is newer one, it has few more graphics enhancements.

Well when you are in the game just press Esc and in the corner you will see game version. If it's 1.9.xxx it means is legendary and if it's 1.5.xxx it means is special.

Thanks for the response.  So in terms of STEP, Skyrim Legendary just mean Skyrim with all the DLCs, not some product also called Legendary with added content beyond the 4 DLCs?

Truth. Skyrim:LE is a general term used for the original release of the game and the DLCs. The SE version was released a few years later, after FO4 had hit, and included a 64-bit executable and numerous graphical engine improvements... though sadly, no bug fixes to speak of.
