lv4321 Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 I heard that there are different ways to backup mod organizer just in case you need to reinstall windows or something. What is the best way to backup MO mods and saved profiles + its saved data safely?
0 lv4321 Posted July 3, 2017 Author Posted July 3, 2017 This is the very first question in the MO FAQ.Thanks, I just kept hearing some other people do other certain methods so I just got confused Before you posted this, i copied the entire MO folder. Will that also be ok?
0 GrantSP Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Yes fine. MO is a complete standalone executable that leaves no mess in the registry or other areas, all you need is in the install folder.
0 outdatedTV Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 What I like even more is the ability to point it to a different path to use aa downloads folder. Spares me a lot of space on the SSD. Also one can drop manually downloaded files into that dir and MO instantly sees them in the Downloads tab. And rightclick on them > Query nexus info and you get the mods nexus info straight away. Don't try this with mods originally intended for another game tho (like using Oldrim mods for SSE).
