Enderal - Dyndolod cannot read data Tamriel.json

Question

Posted

Hi sheson-

Couldn't find Enderal help...sooo... Been using Dyndolod since you "first-borned" it and for the life of me there is no tamriel.json file created in skse folder with Enderal. No glaring errors that I see in logs, and it does recognize Enderal. Using a fresh install, not update... newest ver, always RTFM and using MO. Enderal running fine as well as heavily modded Skyrim both through single MO install. Texgen has no problems. Dyndolod completes successfully with everything but tamriel.json when checking skse folder. Dyndolod will not initialize in Enderal with the topic error msg. Am i missing something? Resources installed, enderal patch installed, tree lods and enderal lods installed. DDL installed outside of MO

Any suggestions ( including pointing out something stupid that I missed ) appreciated!!

There is no worldspace "Tamriel" in Enderal and consequently no tamriel.json is created. The main worldspace of Enderal is called "Vyn"

I could imagine the in-game error being caused by a plugin.esp that is not intended for Enderal but for Skyrim. A plugin could be adding back the worldspace name Tamriel overwriting data from the Enderal Skyrim.esm. Such plugins should be removed/updated.

Also check that DynDOLOD_Worlds.json is not overwritten by old files (Overwrite folder MO for example) and does not contain the word "tamriel".

Thank you sheson and you were exactly right! So much for "compatibility" lists....a grass mod, or so I thought, added an esp that used Tamriel worldspace. Can't believe I fell into that one....thank you for all of your awesome ideas through time and for the quick help  ::):
