Question

Posted

Question is in the title although I'd like to add the following: "....with an ENB"

Specifically, I'd love to use HRK's ENB - https://www.nexusmods...im/mods/39821/?

My specs are as follows - It's a laptop.

Nvidia GeForce GTX 780M (4Gb)

Intel i7 4700MQ (2.4GHz)

To clarify my stance, YES, I know an ENB will make my fans kick into high gear. Always been that way, always will. I also fully intend to drop AA to 4x, turn off DoF, Motion Blur, drop shadows to 256, and limit my overall texture resolutions to 1024. Also, if I can, I'll probably be turning off weather.

With these limitations in mind, if I follow the SR:LE guidelines (minus a handful of things ofc) will the game still run at a playable level (i.e. steady 30fps or higher). Or would I be better off with the STEP 2.9.2 guide?

Furthermore, as Vivid Weather is one of the principal selling points of the SR:LE guide, is it vital? Or can I swap it out?

Ideally, I would love to use ELE/Purity and HRK's ENB together but I'm concerned this will cause setup issues as Vivid (and its respective components) are referenced and used quite heavily.

Also, on an unrelated note, does anybody know a nice tree mod? I'm intending to use Verdant for grass and was eyeing up SFO 2.5 (minus grass). But I also read that SFO can be fairly brutal on lower-end systems which my laptop most certainly is.

Cheers

Get it installed ENB free first and check your operation. If all is stable and you get FPS you can live with, then drop in your ENB and see how you go. This at least gives you a baseline to work from.
