Aeradom Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 Wanna know a great way to piss yourself off? Reformat your computer then find out your master password doesn't work and have to reset all your passwords. On that note though, went over to Nexus to reset the password but never got the email confirmation. I thought perhaps I had the email wrong (not really sure how that could be, but I went with it). So on a hunch, I attempted to create a new account but yet again, no email was sent. So I thought maybe it was my network, so I had an out of town friend attempt to create an account and still no good. Finally at my wits end, decided to try and email support. And then it got weird. The email got bounced back to me saying that the name didn't exist (support@nexusmods.com). It was at this point I was wondering if something was really wrong (well not seriously wrong but yeah... not a simple problem). I checked over at the forums and there's no less than three threads on the topic, but none of them have received a response. So yeah, wanting to know if you guys heard anything.
Nebulous112 Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 I read about it on Reddit...a few different threads. And Nexus' tracking system has never worked for me, but I suspect that is because I have a gmail address (I read somewhere that Google blocks Nexus emails). However, I was able to initially register with Nexus using that address, so who knows. Maybe something got borked recently.

Be sad to install a brand new SSD, have a day off to setup Skyrim on it, to not be able to do it. Granted nothing that can be done just a bit of a bummer.

Nebulous112 Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 Yeah, I'll reply for you. Edit: Done, see here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4670010-cant-use-nexus-siteforummod-manager-problems-with-email/?p=40533840
alt3rn1ty Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 (edited) @Aeradom It was also reported by Kesta in this post https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4671060-unable-to-validate-account/&do=findComment&comment=40528175 I also participated in that topic with the same problem .. .. Which has now been solved. Is your old account back to normal, or are you keeping the new Premium membership account ( one or the other would need to be killed, due to site rules, best to make it your choice ( if you havent already ) before another moderator who possibly has not seen these trouble topics does it for you ) Edited July 16, 2016 by alt3rn1ty

I was kind of hoping as much but sadly not getting the emails (for either account, but to be clear the primary is Aeradom. Oh and the issue's been reported so no reason to spam them now and thanks. I'm able to with the alternate (Aeradom3) to log into the forum but can't post. Which is odd because on the support thread (which I was able to send a message to but not sure if they got it) because I thoguht I'd be able to post. Edited July 16, 2016 by Aeradom
Omolong Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 A news post just came out that pretty much just says that they know this is an issue and that they're working on fixing it.

That's good to hear. I was starting to get a bit worried when they seemed to be resolving the issue on an individual basis. At least now they pinpointed the problem, I'm happy to wait once I know that they aren't just assuming that everything is fine on their end.
