Basically with the settings given in the guide, whenever you search for something with a 'y' or 'u' in it the wheelmenu comes up and you have to tab out of it.

 

Is there any way to get wheelmenu to stop coming up while a UI panel is up, or should I just move them out of the way?

I don't ever use the search function so I never noticed.
