Help.

Okay... so. I don't honestly understand what is going on. I have been looking for fixes regarding my issue... and they all just seem to come out blank. So... I decided to do a fresh start on Skyrim again, decided to re-install it. Yes, it was a clean re-install. I installed mods... and I don't understand how nor why exactly, when I open SKSE from Mod Organizer, SPECIFICALLY, the screen is just black. Bam, there, not responsive, no sound playing. Nothing. When, I've never had this issue before. These are my mods, in their respective load order:

After you reinstall Skyrim, you must run the Skyrim Launcher (don't run it from Mod Organizer) at least once so that it can create the necessary registry entries and ini files. After you've done this, try it again to see if you still have a black screen. If you do have a black screen with no audio/video, let's take this a step at a time to find the root of the problem.

 

Run tesv.exe from Windows Explorer to see if you can start the game. If this doesn't work, double check that you've installed and configured ENBoost correctly and keep poking around until this works. Go on to the next step only once you get this working.

 

Run skse_launcher from Mod Organizer without any other mods to verify this works. If this doesn't work, double check that you've installed and configured SKSE correctly.

 

Once you've verified SKSE is installed and configured correctly, try running skse_launcher from Mod ORganizer with all your mods in place.

The weird thing is, I can run it from the launcher perfectly, and I can run it from SKSE outside of MO... just, when I run it outside of MO, none of my mods go through to the game...

Are the ini files in the ModOrganizer/profiles/[profile] folder the same as the ini files in C:\Users\[username]\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim?

Okay after copy & pasting to make them both the same... it still gives me a black screen. Ugh, this is annoying.

Okay. So I think I figured it out. I disabled some mods, like SkyMills, SMIM, and Skyrim Flora Overhaul. Game is actually starting up now.

 

After re-enabling Skymills & SMIM, it works fine. I think when I had SFO, it messed with it, and didn't start up. Alright! I basically figured it out myself... sorry for the confusion!
