  1. It definitely has to do with the texture mod merge pack, since it went away when i removed it from my game. Somehow the skin texture must have got corrupted either while merging or after at some point. I'll try to remerge and see if it clears the issue up.
  2. Anybody have any idea what the cause of this is? or how I could go about fixing it?
  3. just a heads up, but apparently Animals and Monsters Wind Enhancement Hairworks is no longer on the nexus at this time
  4. Well I just tried my third fresh install just to be sure that I was not doing anything wrong, and I still get those same script compilation errors from above between primer and FHUD. Followed the guide religiously and nope nothing... There must be something really wrong with my computer I guess, I just don't know. I can't waste anymore time on this though, so I'm trashing Primer. It's not worth all of this.
  5. yeah I checked the scripts on the second fresh install because I figured that was the issue, but nope sadly it didn't fix anything. My guess is that it's just something I'm missing at the moment since you said it works perfectly fine for you. I'm just gonna take a break from it and come back once I have a clearer head because right now I'm pretty fed up with it. This is something I thought was only gonna take 3-4 hours but instead has taken 3 days and I still can't figure it out... that's modding for you XD It'll probably be something stupid whenever I figure it out too.
  6. You see that's the weird part I'm doing it exactly how the guide says to, but it still gives me script compilation errors. I've tried two different times both times with fresh installs... and still nothing.
  7. So I did some more looking into my problem from above and it turns out it's definitely a issue between Primer and FriendlyHUD. I can remove FHUD and the game will start perfectly with just primer, and I can also just remove primer and the game starts perfectly with just FHUD... there's definitely something screwy going on and it's just totally beyond me at the moment. I'm just gonna forego primer for now until somebody can figure out the problem... it's a shame though I really liked how challenging it made the game. If anyone can figure out the problem or actually has the two mods working together please let me know what you did so I can try to replicate it.
  8. So i finally decide to start modding my game again, I completely started over using your guide as a baseline. I get up to the point where you have to install FriendlyHUD in your guide and then I start getting script errors... I've installed the primer patch and i have NOT merged the alchemyMenu.ws like stated and i can't figure out what the hell is going on here. It happens only after installing FHUD. Please help :)
  9. Just a heads up enhancement system has been updated for 1.22
  10. Holy **** this is a nightmare at the moment... I think I'll just take a break from this game for a few weeks and play something else until everything is sorted out and then I'll come back and start from scratch. hopefully CDPR doesn't decide to release another patch in a week or two... lol
  11. well that sucks... guess I won't be playing this for a few days, bummer.
  12. yeah I figured. no it doesn't take that long, but if there was a way to avoid that I would... lol thanks
  13. Is there a way to update script merger without losing all my merges? or do I have to re-merge everything every time a update is released?
  14. Primer is a great addition, I was playing around with it last night and my god... It changes the way I approach combat in this game, there's like a whole new layer to the game now and I like that a lot. Not to mention it makes the game pretty challenging, there's been a few times where I got killed because I either a.) Didn't take the time to prepare enough before the fight and/or b.) couldn't find a opening in combat to heal myself. The animations are so good, really adds that last bit of realism/immersion while adding in a layer of difficulty to the combat. I've noticed an issue with the setup. Primarily that if your using FriendlyHUD's quick items in radial menu feature which allows you tab into the radial menu and then use potions/oil/bombs on the fly with the number keys without having to go into the inventory and switch, if you take a potion this way it will not activate the animation when you tab out... although for some reason the oil animation does still work this way. Sorry if this has already been reflected in the guide, I didn't check. Maybe add a note in the FHUD configuration to turn off the quick item module. haven't installed Enhanced Armors yet, but it was one of the mods I was waiting for to get updated, sure to be great!
  15. Awesome work! one quick question, when we make the "modLoreCharacters" texture merge do we include the Ciri portrait optional in that merge?
  16. There is something terribly wrong here, because I have both the latest FHud version (10.4) and the latest ImmersiveCamFHud compatible version (2.53) and I only get 1 conflict. Make sure you have both the latest versions and that it's not another mod that's affecting r4player.ws because this should not be happening with the latest versions.
  17. no bugs here other than the Roach tail bug where it disappears. about 25 hours into the playthrough with around 40 mods installed and no problems so far! I would recommend updating the vanilla source scripts and verifying the integrity of your game cache before starting a new game and modding, this seems to be the number one reason for script compilation errors after the new patch. Gwent Deluxe 2.0 is great! I've been using it for the past week or so and it changes the game so much for the better.
  18. oh okay I didn't know that... you must be talking about the hammer that the mod author put in the game himself? Mjölnir? if so then yeah it has infinite upgrades. I've tried to dismantle several other relic secondary weapons and have not gotten a upgrade diagram so... that's why I figured it was no different for you. I personally don't ever use secondaries, I just prefer swords plus why would a Witcher use a hammer in combat? that doesn't seem very lore-friendly.
  19. It's worth noting that you can't dismantle secondary weapons like hammers for upgrade diagrams, so while yes that is a bit OP for that point in the game past a certain point it's not gonna be useful anymore and it's crap against monster anyways so... do people really use secondary weapons anyways?
  20. I've been playing with it for about the last 10 hours of my playthrough, although I'm not terribly far, still in Velen haven't gone to Novigrad yet... So far it doesn't seem overpowered at all. I've gotten a few relic blades and they seem to be appropriate damage for my current level and have some unique stats as well that make them feel nice. I haven't played around with the dismantling thing yet, but it's to my understanding that most relic blades only have 2 upgrade stages, so there's the base blade, then you dismantle for the first upgrade diagram which seems to put the blade around DLC/end game level range (early 30's) then you dismantle again and you get the second upgrade diagram which I assume puts the blade in end game NG+ range (60-70) but that's purely my speculation as I haven't been able to get to the second stage. Also when I dismantled the base version of one of my blades and got the upgrade diagram I noticed that only the damage stats changed and not the unique stats, so things like burn and bleed effects stayed the same values so that shoudn't be very overpowered. Also I'm under the impression that all Relic blades now start off with only 1 rune slot and you get the second one on the second upgrade and the third on the third upgrade. there seems to also be blades and armor that have 3&4 upgrade stages, but not that many and they appear to for late game high level stuff. an then there's also very few things that have a special feature and that's infinite upgrades where you dismantle and apparently the armor/sword scales with your level... which sounds pretty ******* cool, the Kaer Morhen Armor is apart of this i think. all in all it doesn't seem too OP and as long as the author has balanced some of the blades correctly it sould be fine, all signs so far point to them being pretty balanced as long as your playing on Death March. Also if you use the FULL version of the enhancement system then the potion and oil animations make combat a **** ton harder since you actually have to find openings to drink potions and apply oil and let me tell you this can be really difficult xD honestly though the best way to really test all this is just to try it out for an extended period of time yourself. I have very limited time with the mod so far so only time will really tell.
  21. great guide on the texture merging, quick and painless. definitely simplified it quite a bit for me xD Thanks for your work as always, I'm looking forward to the next batch of mods you add to the guide :) for reference I've started using a few more mods in my own personal install which include; Super Turbo Lighting Mod (2.2.1 + optional HairBang )- https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/657/? Real Time - https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1567/? No Witcher Sense Zoom FX plus Toggle and Range (Witcher Sense Double Range optional only) - https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/351/? Increased LOD - https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/949/? Immersive AI (Immersive Cam Optional file) - https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/689/?
  22. great! I'll wait for you to write up a guide so I don't have to mess with it :p
  23. Okay after some testing through trial and error I'm pretty sure it is a texture limit issue... unfortunately I'll have to figure out how merge texture mods now xD
  24. The full version does include it, but I'm using the light version instead which doesn't because I don't want the potion/oil animations and I plan to use AMM later on when it's updated for the new patch and all the bugs are ironed out. The full and easy versions of TES are incompatible with AMM because they include the sword effect/animation feature which is apart of AMM.
