Ok thanks Mator! So maybe it's more of an issue where loading the save game is still using leftover values that are still present in the save? I'll try to do some more testing ingame. BTW Merge Plugins Standalone is amazing!

Greetings everyone, I had a question about creating a merged plugin and then opening said merged plugin in TES5edit to make some changes. I created a "Creatures - Merged.esp" which basically merged about half a dozen animal/creature mods together. 83Willows 101BugsHD Butterfly Dragonfly Luna-Moth Torchbug, Clamsdroppearls, Convenient horses, horses gone wild, giant mammoths, ORM - Arvak, and Bellyache's New Dragon Species. They all work together great ingame (except the mammoths aren't giant but that's not a huge deal) but I wanted to edit some values for some of the new dragons because the "weakest" dragon I felt was ridiculously strong. So I load Creatures - Merged.esp in TES5edit and go under Non Player Character(Actor), scroll down until I see the Ruddy Aspfang dragon, and I lower its health to about half the original value. I save the plugin and then load up the game but the dragon doesn't go down any easier. This is the only mod that I have in my load order that affects any dragons, animals, or creatures. It's also very low in my load order to there shouldn't be anything overriding the changes. Any ideas why custom edits in a merged plugin don't take effect ingame? Thanks EDIT: I also loaded my entire load order in TES5Edit to actually see if there were any mods overriding my custom health value and there are no conflicts with Ruddy Aspfang. It's not a winner or a loser. So shouldn't the health change work?

I'm sorry I'm not familiar with Mfg console. I was wondering if there was any way in TES5Edit that I could see if any of my mods are affecting guard factions which might alter what outfits they are wearing. It's a really weird bug because I've dropped both CWO and Diverse Guards, started a new game, ran to whiterun and any female guards are wearing stormcloak instead of whiterun yellow. Hello Everyone, I apologize if this is in the wrong thread. I thought about posting in the Mods section but reading through there it was more of a STEP suggestion area rather than a support area. I have an issue where starting a brand new game, all of the male whiterun guards are wearing their default yellow armor, but all of the female guards are wearing stormcloak blue armor. I know it's not a texture replacer issue because I've tested it with multiple replacers and the stormcloak blues are still showing they're just HD now. I believe this to be a scripting bug either due to Civil War Overhaul or Diverse Guards Skyrim. I think it's more probable that it's CWO because I don't think Diverse Guards touches factions as much as it deals with the size of the guard NPC pool. But Diverse Guards does add many more female guards so that might explain why only the female guards are affected. I'm going to be doing some more testing when I get home from work; probably will drop both mods from MO and start another new game to see if the bug persists. I just wanted to see if anyone else has encountered something similar. Thank you all.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm still a little confused about the "fake" invisible armors you are referring to. I'll take a look at those tutorials and see what I can do. Basically I was trying to figure out if I was going to have to learn how to use Nifskope in order to get all my custom shields, staves, and weapons to work with DSR.

Hello Everyone, I'm very new to the forums so I apologize if this post is not in the best place. I have used DSR in the past but it's been a while and I needed some clarification before I try installing it again. In the description on the nexus page it talks about using the patcher to add custom weapons and shields but that mesh packs will be required. What exactly is a mesh pack? Is it just a folder with the individual nifs? I know slothability has created a ton of them but what if someone uploads a very new mod that doesn't have a mesh pack yet? How do I make my own mesh pack? Like for this. Thanks!

Hello Everyone, I must say that I wish I had discovered STEP much sooner. The work here is fantastic. I haven't even started to use STEP Core yet, just the ini tweaks and ENBoost, and my CTD's have dropped 85-90%. That said I do have quite a bit of stutter. I believe it's microstutter because it's most noticeable whenever I'm transitioning between cells. I've checked MemoryBlocksLog and I'm not even close to hitting my limit. System specs here. Thank you for the quick reply Nebulous. So I assume that STEP Extended is any mod that is in the anthology but is not STEP Core? I'm just confused because I see everyone referring to this specific entity known as the STEP Extended Pack, but then there are also user assembled "packs" that are different. EDIT: Nevermind.. I literally just read the nomenclature section at the top of 2.2.9.2. All good now :: Also another forum question. If I needed help with my load order where would be the best place to post that? Greetings Everyone, This is my first time posting to the STEP forums. Little bit of background: Been playing/modding Skyrim pretty much since release. However I have only ever completed the main quest one time and even though I own all 3 DLC's I have never completed any of them. This is due in large part to my failure to create a stable, modded Skyrim. System Specs are here: https://wiki.step-project.com/User:VirtuousParagon/SystemSpecs (if I didn't link that right let me know please) I'm thinking of installing STEP because I would like a stable game and to be able to mod "more with less" as it were. My multi-part question is: Should I consider mods that are not "Core" mods but still listed in the STEP Anthology just optional? Also, STEP 2.2.9.2 was released last November but I was curious why the Core mod list contains many older mods? (circa 2012, 2013 without any updates) What does the Conflicting Graphics category refer to? The mods within that category conflict with other core mods? If so, which ones and how do you know which to pick? Sorry for the wall of text. I appreciate any help you can give me. VirtuousParagon P.S.
