  1. I was under the assumption that the way to go was 2k textures with 1k normals for optimum performance and visuals while avoiding the 3.1GB?
  2. It was just an observation :) Crossfire I have like 60% GPU load, and running 1 card it's like 95-99%. Only thing that would ever worry me is, am I bottlenecking myself?
  3. With ENB on and crossfire off, it worked as intended. Just nuked my GPU usage spiking it to 95%+ Though, I'd assume by going to 1k normals it would help that out. I was using 2k textures and normals.
  4. Here is two vids I took of my ENB + Crossfire issues: The focusing in and out is my camera, the bad quality is my camera, BUT the flashing is the ENB + Crossfire combo. When ENB off and Crossfire on, all works well.
  5. Hello, I'm not familiar with what exactly is going on with SR and SR:LE, but I have noticed some changes around the boards recently.  Most notably the presence of STEP packs that to me and what I see seem to break down mod selection into packs for only specific things. I went through the SR guide in it's entirety before SR:LE began.  I though had issues with CTD approaching the 3.1GB limit.  I understand, SR:LE was going to fix this with insturctions for texture resizes. That was the reason, I didn't play the original SR because I needed to fix my CTD issues and I was waiting for SR:LE for this.  I have never played Dawnguard, Dragonborn, or hearthfire, so I was waiting for SR:LE to come out so I can play a new with not only all the DLC, but also the beauty of SR. Okay, well what am I getting at?  The addition of all this "Pack" talks made me concerned that SR is now going to be broken down into packs instead of a full blown guide with everything put together in one.  Is that the direction SR is going?  Or is SR:LE and STEP Packs two completely different things? I have been patiently waiting for the day, since SR:LE was announced (which happened as I finished the original SR install) to play a complete and working SR:LE.  And I guess I just wanted to know if that was still going to happen?  Bunch of changes have happened here since last I visited and I can't tell what is going on anymore. If SR:LE will continue to be the massive all in one project I hope it will be, will there be an all in one "SR:LE Patch" that can be downloaded that does all the compatibility patches for you? That is all for know.  Continue to do a great job guys.  I just am so anxious to play the upcoming masterpiece... :) Thank you.
  6. I check the forums here every few days for a progress update on SR:LE. The latest update was a bit of a downer, but considering the sheer size of this project, it is understandable. I shall continue to wait patiently until it is done. When complete, it will be a glorious day! But, we must first exercise patience till that time. GL Neo! I just hope you can keep your motivation going.
  7. One of your settings was incorrect. You misread somewhere. I remember I did the same thing, my first attempt took hours, but then I realized I didn't set everything up properly and next time it was MUCH shorter. Read the Wiki file. I'm going to say you missed a setting.
  8. SR uses Hearthfire, so if the author states it's not compatible with Hearthfire, then it won't be compatible with SR. Unless custom patches were made to make it compatible.
  9. Given the sheer quantity of texture mods SR incorporates, there is only 2 options to avoid the 3.1GB crash. Either the 1k texture packs for the exterior mods, or keep using the 2k packs and resize the normals to 1k. My guess is current testing will try out 2k textures with 1k normals for stability and he will aim for that as the texture resolutions. If it is not enough and the 3.1GB limit is still a problem, then down to the 1k packs for exteriors, and 2k for interiors.
  10. I would like to respectfully disagree with those who say a dual graphics solution is wasted on Skyrim. Â (Unless I am the one misunderstanding and this is a SLI only conversation and not related to Crossfire? Or maybe NVIDIA runs better then what I can on one card?) I use 2x Radeon 7970HD cards in crossfire (stock settings, no O.C.). I realize this seems to be a SLI thread, with no mention to AMD's crossifre, but I want to comment on dual graphic solutions in my experience. First off, I have found ENB and Crossfire do NOT get along well at all. It has an extreme flickering problem when I enable both. When ENB is off though, Crossfire and Skyrim seem to work more efficiently. Before I posted this reply I did a quick test. Using my Skyrim Revisted, all 2k texture mods. I used GPU-Z to monitor. My testing location was the heavy wilderness in the Rift (heavy on GPU), I used the same route both tests. With Crossfire disabled: 99% GPU Load ~25-30 FPS CTD quickly With Crossfire enabled: 70-80% GPU Load ~50-60 FPS No CTD For me, Crossfire and Dual Graphic solutions gives a great performance boost for a modded Skyrim, which is why we are all here right?
  11. William hit everything right on, though one thing he didn't comment was the Organized Bandit mod. Took a look at it, read it over and seems very interesting. I like the idea and I like giving life to bandits in Skyrim. I'm not knowledgeable enough with this stuff to say it would be good or bad, but I like the premise and idea. May give it a look :)
  12. What mod is making Whiterun so full of trees and vegetation in your SS? I have never been able to get in Whiterun with my SR to see it, as soon as I get close to the city I CTD. Is it a mod in SR? So would my Whiterun look like that too if I can get in and not CTD? Reason I ask, I've always wanted my Whiterun to look like that :(
  13. No' date=' I used all 2k texture packs :) Â There in lies the problem, but I will wait for SR:LE none the less.[/quote'] Are you planning on updating your current SR when LE comes out or completely uninstalling SR for a clean install of LE? When SR:LE comes out, I will do a fresh install from scratch. Â Not going to bother trying to upgrade or update pieces here and there. Â It will be all fresh. Â Plus, I REALLY like following Neo's guide anyway. Â Gives me a good handle on everything and I learn a lot in the process.
  14. No, I used all 2k texture packs :) Â There in lies the problem, but I will wait for SR:LE none the less.
