Once the patches are created and moved under the original mod, do we deactivate the original mod completely?

Spice of Life - Fort/NSutR patch problem
rayhne replied to rayhne's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
I just did a rebuild of the NSotR patch. When I closed Merge Plugins, and went the activate the file, I got a message that there was no esp, even though there is. -
Spice of Life - Fort/NSutR patch problem
rayhne posted a question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
I've made the NSutR merge as detailed but now when I start up Merge Plugins that patch is uncheck and red so I have to check it every time to get the tool to work. Does anyone know why this might be? Also I just noticed that the SR Conflict Resolution esp I just added is doing the same thing to the ELE patch. -

So we shouldn't created this patch as yet? -

Okay, a question regarding UNP. So I install UNP, etc. Can I get safely not add the skimpy armor/outfits? I guess I can put up with the completely unneeded and dangerous to the wearer tit cups but those outfits I can totally live without. -

Okay, I give up. I'm going to just follow both guides, though I probably won't do the Basic Needs sections. -

Ohhhh ... I'll try RW with the Water Plants and see what happens. Though the last time I said something like that my computer exploded .... (just kidding about the exploding bit) -

I's also rather use WATER then Realistic Water because WATER adds water plants usable by CACO but I may just do this build more or less faithfully to the guides and see what happens. -

I may just have to forgo the NPC textures or use different ones. If I use UNP then I end up adding a lot of stuff I just don't like or want. I'll think on it while I do the build. There's also working around not adding Deadly Dragons or skipping over the basic needs section. -

I don't want to use UNP. I have a hard enough time with the unrealistic and downright dangerous armor for women already without adding more. I screwed up with my setup (not surprised) and have to start over again. I'll look at UNP and Better Males but honestly those mods make me cringe. -

It's also turning into a major headache. Trying to work around UNP is a pain when so many excellent NPC makeover mods don't have an option not to use it. :( -

I guess my biggest problem is working around UNP ... really don't want it but there seems to be so much of it. :( -

I plan on going through that but right now I'm confused with using Darth's guide. I pointed out the SFO but now I'm looking at Unique Flowers & Plants, where is says to remove the esp but then says to go into XEdit and edit the esp. -

Thank you. I'm using your guide right now but am customizing it a bit (I did the same with the main build). It may turn out to be a mess that I'll need to redo but I am learning so much; finding new and interesting mods and learning the tools and what can be merged that it will be worth it. One question for you. I hit the section in your guide that adds Skyrim Flora Overhaul but there is no mention as to what to do with the SFO we add in the main build. I assume you delete the previous version? -
I'm hoping to just use this as a guideline, since there are several things on here I don't use or really want to use or like something else better but I am trying to set up a good play through for Legacy of the Dragonborn. Any advice is welcome.

I did. Thank you. :P Do I need the BSA then or do I just leave it checked?

I'm trying this set-up and have reached No Snow Under the Roof. It says: Special Installation: After installation, remove the following file(s) and/or folder(s): meshes\prometheus\architecture\statuessnow folder (Better-Shaped Talos Statue with Greatsword and Stunning Statues of Skyrim will provide these meshes.)But that mod doesn't have loose files, just a bsa. Also HD Enhanced Terrain makes Dynamic Snow for Map obsolete. I know shifting the files in MO will correct that but I was thinking we were supposed to install the mods in the order listed.
-
So I can just leave the moved Dawnguard and USLEEP where MO moves them? Never mind. I can't leave them where MO moves them because then they over-write things I don't want them overwriting.
-
I'm doing a new install using STEP. I had to do the clean Update, Dawnguard, etc setting up Cleaned <name> ESM. Now MO keeps giving me a Potential Load Order error and when I let it sort it puts the Dragonguard.esm under the Cleaned Hearthfire EMS, which screws things up. Why is it doing this and how do I get it to stop? Okay, it keeps insisting on moving the unmanaged Dragonborn under the unmanaged Hearthfire and it's really starting to tick me off. So I switched things around. Lets see what happens.
-
Yeah, I get that. Problem is MO keeps moving the original and the patch lower in the load order.
-
I'm sorry, I'm just really confused. MO keeps moving Dragonborn and the patch down, which means it keeps overwriting that I don't want overwritten. Can I or should I do something about that? When I move the cleaned Dragonborn esp below the unmanaged one then it overwrites things.

My apoligies. Thank mou.
