Disappointing Frame Rates (FPS)
winflakes replied to Pillendreher's question in General Skyrim LE Support
This fixed my Framerate drop issue. Thanks so much Tech. My average Framerate for 2.H was 59.92 with a low of 53. Thats after adding a dozen or so non-step mods, like Immersive armors and weapons. The issue with the spinning cart was due to a bug in Immersive armors that i needed to download a fix for and works fine now. Thanks for your help Tech!- 80 replies

Disappointing Frame Rates (FPS)
winflakes replied to Pillendreher's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Looks like that was my issue. I turned off vsync in the enblocal.ini and set the limiter to 59.0 (even though it is still off) and my frames started at 83 and went up and averaged 132 for the first 19 seconds... until i had to close the game due to the card spinning like a top. I'll turn on the limiter and set it to 65 and see how that does.- 80 replies

Thanks Tech. I won't be home to test until Wednesday, but I will do that for sure. Quick question about the limiter, would the number it is set to even matter if it is toggled off?- 80 replies

Yes I do have ENBoost. Vsync: EnableVSync=trueVSyncSkipNumFrames=0 Limiter:WaitBusyRenderer=falseEnableFPSLimit=falseFPSLimit=10.0 My gut is telling me that it can't be anything with a limiter, because it goes above 40FPS often. It just holds steady at 40FPS longer than what i would deem just an FPS dip due to randomness. Monitor is 1920 X 1080 at 120 Hertz refresh rate.- 80 replies

Gotcha. Thanks Greg. Looks like I need to go through everything thus far and make any ini tweaks inside MO.- 80 replies

Vertical Sync Smooth AFR behavior - Off Vertical Sync Tear Control - Standard Vertical Sync - Use the 3d Application Setting I hadn't heard of the frame rate limiter, but after a quick google search it says that should be in the "common" section. I don't have it there, so I assume it isn't running. On a separate question, I was going into my ini file to do some edits for 2.G and it looks like i may have something wrong. I made the edits to the actual ini files because i didn't know that MO did that. When I click the ini editor in MO, none of my changes are showing in that file. I copy pasted over it yesterday, but today those edits are gone. So is MO using the ini file in the skyrim folder, or whatever this ini file is that pulls up?- 80 replies

Disappointing Frame Rates (FPS)
winflakes replied to Pillendreher's question in General Skyrim LE Support
That's the thing Pretendeavor, I fully expect to be in the 40-60 range once i start installing mods. Up till now the only mods I have installed are the bug fixes. I haven't added anything to increase the graphical load from the base game. I won't run the FPS counter when I actually play, but to be experiencing those drops without adding any real mods means something is wrong. I just did the coc whiterun run and averaged 41.0175. Anyone have any ideas why my systems seems to be self-capping at 40 FPS?- 80 replies

Disappointing Frame Rates (FPS)
winflakes replied to Pillendreher's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Yeah, you may be right. Right now I'm simply running the benchmark set suggested in the STEP. When I look at TechAngel85's benchmarks he is running 52-55 FPS after fixes, and by his system specs, i should be able to have better performance than him at that stage. I don't want to create a save to run around and test different areas, I just want to compare apples to apples to so i can make sure I haven't buggered something badly. Which, as of right now, it looks like i have since i appear to be way below where I should be. That's what I'm trying to fix right now.- 80 replies

Disappointing Frame Rates (FPS)
winflakes replied to Pillendreher's question in General Skyrim LE Support
First off, this is a new PC and fresh Skyrim install. I finished the PC last weekend and started installing Skyrim and STEP this week. Here are the specs: CPU - i5660K 3.5GHz Ram - 16 Gig DDR5 GPU - 690GTX running driver 355.98 HD - 250Gig M.2 Solid State with Skyrim + mods Monitor - 1920*1080 @ 120Hertz First round of Benchmarks were done after INI tweaks and Nvidia Inspector modifications. Here's where it gets odd. for the first 45 seconds I aver age 40.022 FPS, then it it spikes to 60 and stays at or close to (few dips to 45 etc) for 120 seconds averaging 58.21. after that it drops to 40 again for another 45 seconds averaging 40 exactly, then 10 seconds closer to 60 averaging 54.2, then right back down to 40. Based on the other benchmarks, it doesn't appear to always drop to 40 FPS for 45 seconds, but when it does drop it stays there for an extended period. I'm attaching my benchmark spreadsheet for review as well. SKYRIM BENCHMARKS.xlsx The fact that it drops to 40 and stays steady there for an extended period makes no sense. Especially when the max GPU load% was 55 with an average of 35, so ihave plenty of headroom. As of now here are my averages for secions 1.E, 2.C, and 2.D (each averaging 3 benchmarks): 1.E - GPU Load=36.26@46.39 FPS 2.C - GPU Load=37.23@49.94FPS 2.D - GPU Load=36.30@50.22FPS So far I have stuck to the STEP (adding in the 3 non-core fixes) except for these mods: Falskaar, Wyrmstooth, Wintermyst, Thunderchild, Perkus Maximus, Apocalypse. Though I only added these mods during the 2.D install, so 1.E and 2.C were strictly STEP. Please let me know what else I can/should provide to help me figure out this issue. - Winflakes- 80 replies

My carry weight is off by 170...
winflakes replied to winflakes's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I must admit I am new to Skyrim modding. What do I do to get the Boss log? Also did you want me to attach the log and include a modlist? That was one of the things I found odd too. This file I started clean. Fresh Formatted drive and Skyrim install. I followed 2.2.4 and got most of the mods from there. I then added some non-lore friendly mods after. I have not removed any mods, added any mods, or updated my Skyrim or any mods since starting this character. -
I am attaching a picture for reference. Â I thought my carry weight seemed really high, and I always assumed quest items don't actually contribute the weight. Â I emptied everything from my inventory except the untouchable quest items and I am at 170/565 Carry weight. Â If I have to use the console to fix this that's fine with me, I just don't know what command would work.. Â I don't see using the console to fix a bug as cheating. Â - Winflakes

@PopReference Ah, That one slipped by me. I will swap the install order and disable the esp and check it when I get home. I'll let you know my results. Either way, it functions now, and I can see my nords pretty face through the helm, thanks to the closefaced mod, so if all else fails I can just leave it as is. All things aside, I am VERY new to Wrye bash and it very well could be that I am doing something very wrong. And as a sidenote question, does BOSS give any inormation on load order for mods that don't have ESP's or ESM's?  - Winflakes

I had this with the Dwarven helm (see discussion starting here) and it was determined that stat changes could cause this as well. Are you using anything like SkyRe?The only mods I have installed atm are up to 2.K. of the step guide.  I haven't added any additional mods outside of the guide, yet.  In my Wrye Bash the only conflicts are Lower - Accingite Vos, Improved Closefaced Helmets.  Higher - Close Quivers, Skyrim Delarpification, Greatswords SSwtb. Improved Closefaced Helmets was listed as lower in the guide, but it was the only one that had a conflict with the Daedrichelmet_..  So I moved it to just before, and it fixed the missing head.  - Winflakes

Huzzah! Â Thanks mate! Â - Winflakes -
I had an error with my Daedric helm due to the Improved Closefaced mod. When I went into third person, I had no head. When I unequipped the helm it worked fine, but reequipping it made the head disappear. I moved the Imporved Closefaced mod to just before the Daedric armor and weapons and that fixed it happily.  - Winflakes
