  1. I don't see that option. I'm using MO. It IS trying to use the external installer. fomod or bain or whatever. I don't see that option. I'm using MO. It IS trying to use the external installer. fomod or bain or whatever. I'm getting a failed error code 5 message. Found it. Thanks.
  2. I'm not new to this. I've been playing Skyrim since 11.11.11. I'm trying to do a clean step install for the new year. Everything is fine until I get to the new step patch. This is the error I get. I love step and I was going to wait until 2.3 but my profile was getting buggy. Any thoughts?
  3. To hishutup; I'm not worried about most of that either and I'm good running one install of MO but I do have a question. Did you have much trouble getting STEP set up? I'm not new to this at all but it's beginning to piss me off. Other setup's I still have in MO run but the step installs choke every time. I'm sure I missed a memo.
  4. To the question: Sort of. It depends on your definition of 2 installs. If you use MO you can have virtually an infinite amount of installs because every launch is it's own vm. Even in the past when I used nmm I often kept a complete copy of a backed up installation on another drive. I strongly recommend you download and use Mod Organizer.
  5. Yup. Help. I'm no newbie to any of it. I'm no kid. I've played TES for a long long time. Love how open the games are for modding and have been loving that part especially since Morrowind. However, this hot mess is a pain. I'm loving how large the community has become but I am having a hell of a time even finding a channel or place to chat with other users that are trying to install and run STEP. I'm a late adopter. I just reinstalled stuff again and again until it worked for the last 3 years but I'm sick of it and I want one install to rule them all. MO is amazing and I have all of the data downloaded. New box, ssd, overclocked, 0ms monitor. I am ready. I can see the finish line but I'm just not quite there. Looking for a skyrim support group I guess.
