  1. So i've come across another problem...which is pretty dang big. During the creation of my bashed patch it relocated my Update.esm, Hearthfire.esm, Dragonborn.esm, Dawnguard.esm, TESVEdit folder, and Docs folder into the overwrite folder. It didn't copy it as the files are not located there anymore. I'd like to move those files over but I'd rather get someone who knows more confirm what I need to do before I have to re-install skyrim again, and the 100+ mods for S.T.E.P. imgur - https://imgur.com/oHYuohn Step Profile imgur - https://imgur.com/jXlTTZi default profile "To create the Bashed Patch: Ensure all your plugins are active in Mod Organizer.Launch Wrye Bash via Mod Organizer.Right click on "bashed patch, 0.esp", and select "Rebuild Patch".At the Deactivate these mods... prompt, click OK.Tick the boxes next to "Merge Patches", "Import Names", "Import Stats", "Tweak Settings", and "Leveled Lists".Highlight "Tweak Settings", and tick the box next to "Crime: Alarm Distance". Optional: tick the box next to "Timescale".Right-click on "Crime: Alarm Distance" and select '1000' and optionally set "Timescale" to a value less than '20' but no less than '10'.Next click [Build Patch] at the bottom of the window to construct the patch based on the current plugin list/order"
  2. Hey after that debacle, I've come across an interesting problem. When I created my bashed patch on the previous steps, It has moved my Update.esm, Hearthfire.esm, Dragonborn.esm, Dawnguard.esm. It didn't copy it, it moved it, so when I had gotten to that step that told me to delete the overwrite folder contents, I deleted those core items, which I basically re-installed everything from scratch. So now im back to the bashed patch step, just finished building my bashed step and all of those files are located inside my Overwrite folder, as well as TESVEdit Backups and Docs....any help would be most appreciated. ANd thank you for the help
  3. During the process of installing all of my stuff, I read this for DynDOLOD Requirements Latest version of DynDOLOD. TES5Edit PapyrusUtil-Modders Scripting Utility Functions STEP Texture Compilation Setup TES5Edit with "-o:" argument. Instructions are here. Be sure the following line is in your Skyrim.ini or DynDOLOD will not fully process On step five it says to setup TES5edit with "-o:" argument...so i reconfigured it to have that as the argument...later on it tells me this Generate LODs Notice: These instructions assume that the user has properly configured all mods to this point and is ready to generate LOD. 1. Ensure DynDOLOD.esp is the last plugin in your load order. 2. Run TES5Edit through Mod Organizer. 3. Click [OK] on the Master/Plugin Selection window. 4. Wait for "Background Loader: Finished" to be displayed at the bottom of the messages tab. 5. Right-click on DynDOLOD.esp in the left pane and select Apply Script. 6. In the drop-down box, choose DynDOLOD TexGen and click [OK]. Notice:TexGen requires both Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLC. If you do not have both these DLCs, skip to step 12 below.7. Wait for the script to run, and close TES5Edit when finished. 8. Delete the contents of the Overwrite folder. 9. Navigate to the output folder (e.g., "C:\TES5LODGenOutput" from the TES5Edit setup), right click the textures directory to invoke 7zip --> Add to "textures.7z (alternatively, create an archive of the "textures" directory using some other means, but remember: the archive should contain a "textures" directory at it's top level). So it just told me to delete the contents of the Overwrite folder, then to navigate to a folder that doesn't exist because I setup the argument for this specific step. APparently i've done goofed and would like to know if and where the output went to as I can't find it....thanks for any help
  4. I tried putting the subfolder from the wiki link into the fomod installer(merged with the fomod folder from nexus link). MO states that it contains no esp/esm or textures, a red X that says "No Valid Game Data". I tried removing the fomod folder from the nexus link and placing the fomod folder from the wiki link and same exact error.
  5. Hello everyone, I'm new here and doing my first install of S.T.E.P. I'm almost finished and having problems with Soul Gems Differ. from the wiki Download the "Soul Gems Differ - BAIN Wizard" main mod and run using the WB wizard. This will install the STEP-recommended Configuration. Mod Organizer users: The STEP FOMOD will install the STEP recommended options in one easy go. Simply add the directory from the STEP FOMOD to the BAIN package downloaded from the Nexus and install using MO. The FOMOD will load with only one option; click Next to install. This installs the STEP recommended options only! My first try was using MO and from what I understand I am just supposed to drop FOMOD directory downloaded from the wiki link, drop it in the BAIN package downloaded from the nexus(I extracted it, dropped it into the main folder which already had a fomod so put the contents into the fomod directory). This failed to work. The next thing I tried was using the WB wizard and I couldn't figure out how to get the wizard to run or find the file needed to run it. 2+ hours on one mod is infuriating lol.... Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Edit- Tried a couple different merging and replacing of the files..the error it throws up on MO is something like there is no data directory Win 7 Pro Asus Crosshair IV Formula 8gb Ram @ 1600mhz 5870 1gb AMD Phenom II x6 1090t @ 3.2Ghz
  6. First post, so bear with me please.... I've installed S.T.E.P. process all the way up to 2f successfully(Via Mod Organizer). Now that I am on 2g, after going through the process, I started up BOSS and it appears to be in working order(although I have 60+ mods installed and it says 47). Upon entering the Startup the first thing I get is a no game error(not repeatable it went away after i took a break and shut down my computer, the game still loaded after that) and the spinning emblem didn't spin. Did some google fu and couldn't find a solid reason besides I need to manually install it. I'm trying to avoid as much manually installing and messing with the core files of skyrim folder. If anyone has an answer as to why this happened that would be great. Its fine now though. And I have a mod called "SMIM compatibility patch" I'm not sure where it goes and i've spent over an hour looking through all the mods trying to find it...(i put it at the end of 2g as it only modifies meshs>landscape>rocks>rockpilem02tundra.nif) I'm hoping this will be fine.. System Specs. Win 7 Pro 64bit AMD Phenom II x6 1090t 3.2Ghz 8GB ram @ 1600Mhz(just checked ram says 667mhz idk what thats about...sigh) Ausus Crosshair IV Formula 5870 1gb Edit -Ram is good nvm
