Question: Two versions are both 3.1. A BSA file and a Loose file. Matter which one I use? I assume the first. 2nd assumption. On the optionals. Do I install both the patch and the sound patch for Dawnguard/Dragonborn? I am assuming that I ignore the sound patch.

Mod Notes: This mod prevents accidental pick up of items marked as stealing. Additionally, other items can be configured to not be picked up on activation such as plates, silverware, etc. Question: For the optional file there is already a folder called SKSE/Plugins in the mod directory for Blocksteal Redux. Is your instruction to create it redundant or am I suppose to create this folder somewhere else besides inside the Blocksteal Redux mod folder? I assume the instruction should say "Put the .basket file in the Mod folder of SKSE/Plugins in Blocksteal Redux."

@Geheiligt With Java files I do not get the option to run as administrator. Strange I guess. Did you optimized the textures yourself or did you download the MO ones?

My last install I screwed up somewhere and just couldn't figure out what I did wrong. I am starting over again. So I am posting this thread to post any of my questions where the guide instructions may seem questionable. I hope I don't seem too much like a dummy but maybe my questions may help the editing of the guide to make it easier in some places. First up. "To optimize the vanilla textures, either perform the steps and use the batch files located here under the heading "Vanilla Texture Preparation" or, alternatively, download and install the MO ready packages here. Once that process is completed, perform the following:" The MO ready package has MO calling the Dawnguard, HearthFires, and Dragonborn optimized textures to be redundant. Should this concern me or do I need to do something about this? Also the guide did not tell me if I should kill the BSA's and make them loose files or not. I killed the BSA's. The question is asked when installing the optimized files in MO. EDIT ABOUT BSA'S "Notice:Critically Important! The first time a mod is installed that contains .bsa file Mod Organizer will prompt to extract it. Respond [Yes] and check the box labeled "Remember Selection" to prevent future prompts. If the prompt is needed again in the future simply click "Reset Dialogs" in Mod Organizers settings menu." This notice shows up in the guide after the optimize texture instructions. Perhaps put it higher up in the guide? Next: "Open enbseries_skyrim_vXXX.zip using 7-zip and extract the d3d9.dll, enbhost.exe, and enblocal.ini files to a temporary folder. For reference, this will be called ENBTemp. Open ENB Manager and Changer. *Note: Run this as an Administrator.* In the "ENB Version" pane, click [Add]. Navigate to ENBTemp and select the d3d9.dll and enbhost.exe files, then click [Add]. In the resulting text box type the version number to indicate downloaded version then click [OK]. Verify that the version installed is selected in the drop down box. Delete the d3d9.dll and enbhost.exe files from ENBTemp as they are now saved in ENB Manager and Changer." I have never figured out how to "run this as an administrator". Seems like skipping this step doesn't make a difference. If this step is important please give instructions on running a java app as administrator.

1) FNIS version 5.4.2 just out 2) Instructions for GeonFaces very hard for me to follow. Never quite sure if I did it right. Maybe a picture of the archive like how you do a picture of the fomod would be a good idea.

LOL I was guessing it was because of the script with Frostfall. Sometimes it happens when clicking on the hunterborn scripts too fast. His fix for it was not to click on skinning so fast after cleaning. Guess that's not an ideal fix.

I make it a 3 day job. Did about 150 mods the first day then I get burned out so I take a break for a few days.

Since the main guide has been switched to Loot can you add a Loot version in your first post? I'm guessing I'm asking for too much. haha

Thank you. Love your guide btw. I add Hunterborn to it as I see this as a must. I also add the populous mods. Perkus Maximus runs well with this too. Have you ever considered adding Hunterborn? Seems to great to pass up certainly since your guide includes other great immersion mods.

Or should I just delete BOSS and scroll down the entire guide from the top and follow the loot instructions? I've never used Loot before.

Decided to do a reinstall. Every few days when I go back to the guide to continue with install the guide keeps switching from boos to loot to boss to loot. This is making install of this guide a bit difficult. Do I need to start all over and get rid of Boss now that the guide has been switched to Loot again?

I think this just fixed it: Thank you thank you. Most likely your skse.ini is a text document, in which case you need to remove the txt file extension.

Had infinite loading screens several months ago. (posted in forums then too) Just tried a new install over a new hard drive after leaving the games over the summer. Before that when Revisited used Real ENB the mod setup worked perfectly and I even added about 15 or more extra mods. But since the summer and fall revisions the Revisited setup will not work I have a i7 950 16 gb 64 7 OS AMD Radeon R9 200 Series Samsung 840 Pro SSD just for Skyrim I have infinite loading screens on exterior cell loads. I have been doing lots of reading and seems most people would think this is due to the *.ini. Anyone have an idea how I should start working on this? Also with the mod order setup MOD says I should let it reorganize my load order. Should I let it as it then won't be in the same order as the detailed instructions. Also when I do the "vanilla skyrim" MOD profile. The game loads the exterior cells but I'm the only one on either horse carriage and I am sitting in the drive seat. I am 98% confident that I installed this guide to the letter. Desperate for help. Thanks

All starts CTD except for the escape this jail, and the original start. Escape this jail CTD at the point of leaving the prison into Skyrim, and original start CTD once I choose which door to the keep to enter when I run away from the dragon. Any saves made also CTD when loaded. All mods turned on.

With Alternative start, ASIS, and the SR conflict resolution.esp (due to alternate start connection). The game loads but the carriage is spiraling around in circles. Then ends up in the sky. Tries to roll down mountains and after awhile I gave up. I went to menu then back to the game and it CTD.

Things got worse. Turned out that with ASIS turned off I was able to load any new save game I made. But I still couldn't load any new areas. I started the Vanilla start from the alternate start and it went fine until the prison carriage entered the Helgen gates and then it CTD. And still if ASIS.esp is turned on the game CTD before I even get to the menu screen.

Turned off the ASIS.esp and now the game has not CTD. So far.

Been using this mod since spring. Never had any problems what so ever. Even used Skyre and other population mods and the super mod Hunterborn (why don't you have this one in your set up?) Anyway I've seen you have made some huge changes. For example. Ineed Sleep&Food instead of Realistic needs and disease mod. So I decided to start all over. Clean install. Only did your setup. Seemed easy. Only catch was the aMidianBorn_ContentAddon.esp directions. You say: aMidianBorn_ContentAddon.esp (Instead, use the version found in the Improved Closefaced Helmets version folder.) Than you say:Bash Tagging Required: (Bash Tagging Guide) aMidianBorn_ContentAddon.esp (DELEV, RELEV) BOSS Masterlist Update Required: (Updating Guide) aMidianBorn_ContentAddon.esp BOTTOM Overrides Late Than you also put the esp in your SR Conflict Resolution.esp. So I assumed that your first direction of " (Instead, use the version found in the Improved Closefaced Helmets version folder.) " is incorrect. So I left it as is and did the bash tagging and BUM directions. Is this the correct thing to do? So this is what's going on. After leaving the cell in alternate start I CTD when entering Skyrim. I also CTD when doing the other starts at the point when I click on the bed. I also CTD when I load a save game. Do you have any advice for me? I'm thinking maybe be SKSE related. I'm running low on ideas as I don't want to start over with my 288 mods. Thank you for your time.

MO errors out when I activate the installer for sky UI. This is a new problem for me as it use to be able to use outside installers fine. Suggestions?

All ways curious about this. If I install Core and I want to have Extended too. Should I install and have MO profile "Core" then go back and install Profile "Extended"? Meaning that my order of extended is all after core or do I have to individually have to go back and move each extended mod in the load order they show mixed in with core? Or am I just suppose to install it all at once in the order it shows as Step Extended on my MO? Which seems WAD by looking at the guide.

MO does show the esm in the data tab as well as all cot realated esp's. Not sure what u mean by repackage. Click re-install? I did the loose version. Loose version bad? Thanks for your help btw
