  1. Ok boys, I"M GONNA DUU THIS. It's a snow day, we got out from school early today, and school is canceled tomorrow. I'm going to try to patch skyre to SR:LE. Â I know you think i'm insane. Â I trimmed it down to the main.esp and the survivalism.esp (the survivalism, only adds new stuff, so no meaningful conflicts there) My basic idea in making this uber-patch is to let everything in SR:LE overide skyre, except when it relates to perks. Â My biggest hang-ups with skyrim were the perk system, and how you were instantly so wealthy, that money had no meaning. Â I'm going to assume that trade and barter takes care of that later problem. Even if this is a waste of time, I've learned so much, and I go into the task knowing that I may not make any progress at all. Â If you have any general tips or advice that could save me time, or if there are any big "no-no's" that might break stuff, let me know. Thanks so much for everything so far guys, thanks neo!
  2. Thanks a lot Aiyen, that makes a lot of sense. I have two questions now though: Was my super rough description of what those patchers are accurate, or am I horribly mistaken. Second. I have the box ticked "Local savegames" in my profile configurator in MO. However, I can see other saves from other profiles when I load up my game. Anyway to fix that?
  3. Can someone give me a brief explanation on what "dual sheath redux patch" and "npc enchant fix" are, and how they relate to SUM. My basic understanding is that SUM is a patch manager that runs all of the jar executable patchers that you have and it "merges" them together. Also: I am playing around on my copied SR:LE profile, in hopes of getting a few other mods to play nice with the SR:LE list, and it seems like it is using the same bashedpatch0.esp for all profiles. Does that happen to you guys, or for each profile do you have a different bashedpatch0?
  4. Nico, I'm not the pro, but can we have more details. Is this srle, how long have you been playing this save, does boss report anything?
  5. Hi guys, is there a hair mod that doesn't cause compatibility issues? I need moar hairduus!
  6. Neo et al, I remember reading somewhere in the SR:LE guide that if you die you should exit out of the game and reload your save. "Tips If the character dies, completely exit the game and reload the last save. The automatic load erroneously retains data it should not from after the save." Do you guys do this each time you die?
  7. What would you guys suggest for me and mrgr1m, since we just finished the guide. How do you install this update?
  8. I see, do the conflicts cause CTD's primarily? Or do they cause many different problems like missing textures, or erratic behavior from overwriting OBIS. On a side note: I looked at ethereal elven overhaul in tes5edit, and I see why people say it is a compatibility nightmare. There is a lot of red there. Correct me if i'm wrong: for that mod, you would address each conflict, making a patch of your own, choosing for each block and subblock what you would want overridden and what you would not. Effectively taking an extremely long amount of time. All of the info is appreciated, TYVM
  9. Hey everyone. I want to put this post here before I go forward to far. I have finished SR:LE. It was a long and perilous journey, and you don't even know how rewarding it is to start from helgen and make it town with ralof. So, it seems stable. I would like to now, slowly try to add in Ethereal Elven Overhaul and Skyre. I copied my finished profile for SR:LE, that is what I will be fiddling with. My idea is this: download all of the patches for EEO, install EEO, then in TES5edit, go through each block and sublock, and create my own EEO patch for all of the remaining conflicts. For skyre, I was thinking along the same lines, but i'm not really sure. I'm not even sure Skyre can work with SR:LE. Give me your advice before I get to far into this, and thank you!
  10. Update: In tes5edit, I right clicked SUM.esp and clicked "sort masters". And now the game works :) Can't believe I finished the guide. I'm sure there are mistakes, and CTD's to encounter, but its crazy that I finished it :) Thank you guys for all the help, i'm sure I will be helping / asking for a long time to come. I still need to set up the MCM settings. I have aspirations of making Ethereal Elven Overhaul and Skyre working with SR:LE, but i'm not sure how realistic that is. Thanks again!
  11. Yeah, so, to statmonster, In wyre Smash 304.3: At the top are my blue esm's and unofficial patches. Also, there is a "XFLMain.esm" that I don't recognize. The two esp's in orange are OBIS.esp in the middle, it is 3F, and its above OBISDB.esp (which is green) Also in orange is SUM.esp at the very bottom, 76. I tried running the game with this unchecked one time, same problem. **TES5Edit is version 3.0.31 Experimental --- To nearox: I loaded up tes5edit with all mods, checked the message panel. Nothing out of the ordinary, it just lists each mod and says "building reference info" until its done loading them all. It is listing SUM last, instead of Bashed patch being last. I'll try making bashed patch last now :)
  12. Well, I did it, I finally finished the guide.. And I have an infinite loading screen at the opening screen. The menu "Continue, new, load..." won't pop up. I could load the game before I started "World Space" conflict resolution. And I went all the way through from there, and did the wyre bash, SUM, BUM, etc and here I am :( Any ideas?
  13. alright, figured it out, I made the changes to NPC actor, and that worked. I'm about to start the "outfit" section again, and we'll see what happens. I noticed that since I started this SR conflict patch, it takes a lot longer to load into the game now.
  14. Anistrophic, how do you open it up? Through tes5edit?
  15. Thanks anistrophic. So, i'm on the conflict resolution part of the guide. Everything seemed to be working well until I did the outfit section. It's late, i'm sure it's easy to misclick a file here or there. But I started to get CTD's before the "continue, new, load, etc" words popped on the screen. In MO, I unchecked the "SR Conflict Resolution.esp" and the game works again. I can start over again, but are there easy to make mistakes that would cause something like this?
  16. Hey guys, does the "simple bordless window" mod really boost fps by 60% like gopher says in an early video of his? I've tried to use this before, and the mod never works.
  17. YES!! thanks neo! Neo, I had a question. So this is an evolving and ever changing guide. I am currently at the conflict resolution section of the guide. I have read this question elsewhere but didn't really understand the answer. My plan, was to continue with the conflict resolution, even though you are adding and editing things. Is there a point of no return with these conflict resolutions? Should I make a copy of my current profile, and make the tes5edits on the new profile. I'm just a little confused on how to move forward from here. I am not one to fear pulling up my sleves, getting dirty with trial and error, I have run into so many problems and troubleshooting sessions, even before I found out about your guide. I just want advice in the situation that I make an edit, that you later undo, situations like that.
  18. Sounds good. Is there a guide I can start looking into for tes5edit. All I found were cleaning guides. I'm not sure how to check to see if DD, EEO, and skyre need patches.
  19. Hey guys, I see the light at the end of the tunnel, about to start conflict resolution tomorrow. There are a few mods however that are almost essential for me. I wanted to finish SR:LE, and make a copy of it in MO so that I could experiment. maybe with the way detecting and resolving conflicts works, maybe these will change things. The mods I love to use are ethereal elven overhaul, skyre, and deadly dragons. what would you guys suggest, there's no step guide for this, I would have to figure this out on my own. thanks, game looks AMAZING, thanks neo
  20. Hi, I am at the point of the guide that I am installing frostfall etc. Running BOSS tells me that hothtrooper44_armorcompilation.esp needs SPIKE.esm or a CTD will occur. YET, when I start the game, i DONT get a CTD. I always run across this problem after installing Immersive armors, even before version 7. I usually "solve" this problem by installing Guard Dialogue Overhaul, I've read that it contains SPIKE.esm. Should I worry about this at all? Thanks
  21. Ahh, I see, ok. By all means take your time neovalen, I'm really appreciative of everything so far!
  22. Thanks guys, changing the download directory to D: freed up some space. I may still have to move things later, I think I remember reading somewhere that If a ssd or hdd is too full it can affect the speed of the drive. At the moment it has 6.35 gb free of 111gb. It has windows and skyrim, windows is too huge.. Does anyone have an answer for the white sky question I had though? My sky is almost pure white.
  23. Game is looking good, fps isn't amazing, but I want to finish the SR:LE guide first. My sky looks really bright though. I don't know how to link a screenshot, but I am thinking something is wrong there. It looks almost white, it would be hard to pick out a cloud in the sky because the sky looks almost pure white. Does anyone have an idea of how to fix that? I am on the step of SR:LE that I just finished vivid landscapes. And Thanks Also: I am out of space on my C: SSD, I need to move my ModOrganizer File over to my D: 1TB HDD. Can anyone give me a step by step for that process, I dont want to lose the progress I have made on SR:LE
  24. got it to work, frustrating though, I think i'm in a bad modding mood :(
  25. scratch that, I have to do settings first, sorry
