TexGen/DynDOLOD out of graphics memory Linux
mrmalin replied to Vraylle's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
i got .net 9 installed in the prefix, just checked the backwards comp and it goes down to 4.5. installing 4-4.8 is borked since proton 5. fallback to LODGenx64.exe returns found .net 4.8 but errors before the settings menu. one thing i noticed is it outputs 12gb of files and even shows the save and zip options menu at the end but it doesnt generate occlusion at all. LODGenx64_SSE_Test_log.txt DynDOLOD_SSE_log.txt DynDOLOD_SSE_Debug_log.txt no bugreports.txt -

i now changed from i9-13900k to 9950x3d and drivers from nvidia-dkms 575.64.05-1 to nvidia-dkms-open 580.76.05 and still suffer the same trouble. could you provide a permanent download link to the test build exe and a config that works? only settings to run that work is MaxMultiSamples=4 MaxRenderResolution=4096 LoadGLCompressed=0 but its really slow -

quick update from my side, i updated my bios and installed new nvidia-dkms 575.64.05-1 drivers, running texgen (mo2<-proton experimental) with these settings MaxMultiSamples=4 MaxRenderResolution=4096 LoadGLCompressed=0 seem to work fine although its pretty slow in generating files -

when i have the time, maybe at the weekend, ill try on ubuntu. from my recent observation people with intel/nvidia setups have a lot of trouble on arch at the moment. he was right all the time. -

yes, linux freezes as a whole, only way out is a hard reset by holding the power button. heres the TexGen_SSE_realtime_log.txt of the crash. -

mrmalin replied to mrmalin's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
ok, setting GLDebug=1 MaxRenderResolution=4096 LoadGLCompressed=0 gets me to the options menu (the little information windows with the loading bar pops up anyways).i can make my settings, run and then freezes the entire os, no logs produced. this is the bugreport.txt the same thing runs just fine on my steam deck, i guess nvidia scammed big time again with their drivers -

mrmalin replied to mrmalin's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
sadly no logs and the little information window just loops around loading infinite. settings are MaxMultiSamples=4 MaxTextureSize=8192 every other one just fills up the ram and makes it close <Error: OpenGL: invalid framebuffer operation from TwbRender.LoadGLMultiImage for textures\default_n.dds 2 2> -

as soon as texgen reaches gathering resources the ram and vram fill up in a matter of seconds causing the kernel to end the program. there are no logs for texgen created. im running texgen through mo2 through proton experimental, here are some information about my system Hardware Computer Information: Manufacturer: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd.
