  1. probably get asked a lot, but is there anything like STEP for new vagas?
  2. Ok.. I think I got it worked out.. thanks Nearox... The text on the wiki could be made more nub friendly with this text... Select "Acquisitive Soul Gems.esp" and Animated Weapon Enhants.esp then click [OK].Expand "Magic Effect" under Acquisitive Soul Gems.esp and select the "0005B452" node.Right-click on Acquisitive Soul Gems.esp column and select "Copy as Override into...".Select "" and click [OK]. In the resulting text box type "ASG-AWE Patch".Expand "Magic Effects" under "ASG-AWE Patch" (the patch you just made) and select the "0005B452" node.Looking in the RIGHT window scroll down until you see the red highlighted data under "Magic Effect Data"Drag the "Enchant Shader" "wpnSoultrapFXS [EFSH:04000D64]" from Animated Weapon Enchants.esp into ASG-AWE Patch.esp. replacing the one that was there.Click the [X] in the upper right hand corner, uncheck "Backup plugins", and click [OK].Not Fixed Fixed Thanks for the help guys!
  3. yeah.. I know this.. but where is this "enchant effect" I need to drag? Are you sure.. for step 3 I right click on the 005B452 on the LEFT pannel and select "copy override into..." and create the new file.... it is step 5 I do not understand. Where on the right am I supposed to look for the "effect shader" ?
  4. As I am now using Mod Organizer I thought I would do a full STEP install as it is so easy to just play with it after I have it all in MO... So everything is going pretty good but I am stuck on "2.J. Animations & Effects : Animated Weapon Enchants" The detailed instructions tell me to do this... I am stuck on step 5. This is where I am after step 4. Now I can not see a "Enchant Shader" .. there is something called "EFFECT shader"... but it is a moot point though as I can not drag and drop anything at all. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong here? Thanks in advance!
  5. Sorry if this is answered somewhere. I am just wondering... is Bash Patching something we should automatically do? Like after we install everything, should we just automatically do the default Bash Patch?
  6. Hi, I'm still a new user but I am sold on MO now. I was finishing up my install after work today and thought of a cool feature I kinda wish it had.. so thought I would post it. I know I am a new user so it is a bit presumptuous.. but well .. here it is. I LOVE the way you get a nice neat directory of your mods on you hdrive all extracted and stuff.. that is all sorts of awesome. What I would like to suggest (assuming it is not already possible) if for the mods directory to be sorted in sub directories based on your categories. For example I could make a category in the MO called "Duel Sheath Redux" and have it and ALL the compatibility patches I use. If I do an install and wish to add a new weapon patch I can click on the category and enable what patches I need.. this is awesome. Still, it would be more awesome if on the hdrive in the mods directory that same functionality is there. So ../mods/DuelRedux/[mods here]. Not sure I am making sense.. but anyway.. great app! Thanks for your consideration. --Jynks
  7. Cobian is a really good one - https://www.cobiansoft.com/index.htm FBackup is also really good - https://www.fbackup.com/ Both are free, I prefer Cobian myself, but I have to say I think it and most backup solutions are a little advanced for such a task. WinRaR is probably all you need for this one.
  8. awesome thanks for the reply.. those tutorials seam to be what I am looking for. Great! The priority order thing works great... wow MO is really awesome I have to say after using NMM for so long and doing rar passes of my entire skyrim dir during steps of installing the mods.. this is like so much better it is a dream! Had a few fixes I needed to put in so glad I asked!
  9. Hello... I am doing a fresh skyrim install to do a new playthough with a few major modifications like frostfall and skyre and have a few questions about Mod Organiser as I am planning to use it. I have much of my game installed already and it seams to be working.. I just have a few questions! 1) How dose "install order" work in MO? If I install a texture pack, and then a new texture pack that has overwrites how dose MO know witch mod I wish to over right the first mod? It is just the order I activate the mods by ticking the buttons in the left window? Or is there a step I am unaware of? 2) How do I run patches like Duel Stealth Redux, Automatic Variants and Reproccer? I haven't got to this stage yet but will need to eventually. Do I just install them normally? I was thinking I would need to install these manually into the original directory and then use the "add application" button thing to run the patch? Is that how I am suposed to do it? Otherwise I think this mod manager is a LOT better than NMM, I can see how much potential it has. Thanks for all the hard work you put into this. I'm sure you get told this all the time but myself and many others are very grateful for your contributions to the community! --Jynks
