Which ENB version should I download for ENBoost?
DICEROLL replied to DICEROLL's question in Post-Processing Support
I don't understand guys, I downloaded ENBoost.. but I want it to have some cinematic effect in game too. Then I read about True Vision that it is recommended by STEP, I downloaded it and there are all kinds of Option folders to choose from, however if I choose anything from True Vision then I will overwrite the ENBoost enblocale.ini :D I don't get it (I swear I don't). My card is MSI GTX680 (2gb) and processor i5 750 @ 2.67GHz (4GHz clocked) Is it possible for me to play the game with some sweet ENB effect +1k textures? I felt like even though I had all those mods, something was missing.. and then I started reading about ENBs and looking at screenshots and realized it's what I'd want into my game. I haven't even finished Skyrim, I want to finish it with all the best stuff on :D and play in peace! I don't feel like the Wiki is helping me too much to understand this all, I feel it would be more helpful if someone with good experience can suggest me something and then I would try to tinker on it Thanks -

Spell impacts bug? White squares appearing
DICEROLL replied to DICEROLL's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I found that the problem was while I installed Deadly Spell Impacts, I had chosen 2 types of impacts for bolts and spray spells :D if you choose this option (for 2 impacts) then you have to rename some files.. but I'm too lazy for that, so I reinstalled and chose 1 impact effect. It's ok now, all looking good! -
This is my bug: https://i.imgur.com/Q7Vq9iM.jpg What have I done wrong and how can I possibly fix it..? My graphics has 2gb vram if that is important

Skyrim Realistic Overhaul (SRO) include install instructions at least?
DICEROLL posted a question in Wiki Support
Hi, while I've read that SRO is 'not part of STEP' but then again it is for too many people... and there has been some past dramas which conversation I really don't wanna involve in :P. Not having direct link to download is fine (as decided by admins here) as it's easy to find in google. But since it already is in the installation list: why not include instructions on how to install it? I was reading THIS THREAD where someone said you have to take out landscape folder..? There are 3 zip files, I installed them in this order (I assumed it is correct): SRO > Update > SRO Dawnguard, I'm uncertain if I have to do anything else to perfect the use of SRO. As I understand it does matter in MO at which order I install them :D? Thank you -
STEP guide: HRDLC + ddsopt, is it really neseccary?
DICEROLL replied to DICEROLL's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Thank you again Aiyen, for this installation I will not go through ddsopt then (I actually want to play my new mage :Z). I'm certainly staying around STEP, and I already know that I am going to install my mods in one point over again to try something different. So that other time I'll certainly do it and share my experience. -
STEP guide: HRDLC + ddsopt, is it really neseccary?
DICEROLL posted a question in General Skyrim LE Support
Hi, I'm at the 2.F. Conflicting Graphics. My graphics card has 2gb vram and the guide says So I'm downloading HRDLC from Steam right now. Meanwhile I discovered https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:DDSopt which is a instant 'turnoff' to me, my head explodes upon reading it :D there's too much information. I am wondering if doing all that is really worth it (it is a really long process)? As I understand, the DDSOPT process is not just for people with smaller vrams for optimizing but suggested to nearly everyone.. Why I made the thread and have my doubts: Because I'm going to overwrite and replace a lot of other textures by following the STEP guide, and I also use SRO. My final question, is SRO going to save me from all this ddsopt process, as it's basically the same thing? Blrarahgh, I'm not very good at this -
I'm not supposed to install SKSE through MO?
DICEROLL replied to DICEROLL's question in Mod Organizer Support
Thank you :)! Also I just found out that I'm extra stupid. I had followed the STEP guide to about middle of it... and all this time I didn't knew I have to enable plugins in MO on the right side, I also learned that I gotta add BOSS inside MO and run it. Going through the guide again, and so far things work, SkyUI included! All this 'testing' I thought I did before was useless :D it only updated meshes / textures but not other mods. I was a NMM user before but I ain't going back to it -
Hi, I apologize for sounding so stupid :D Now I'm confused, is SKSE supposed to be somehow in my MO mods list when I follow the STEP guide? I have always just installed it into Skyrim folder. Also I noticed too late that my SkyUI didn't even work in-game :S now I removed all mods, and starting all over again. Ok as I understand, I am supposed to download the .zip version of SKSE. And open it in MO, and select the Scripts folder and set it as Data. And then open the .zip again and copy remaining files into my Skyrim directory except the Scripts folder. Is this correct :/?

Installing mods with MO, merge, replace or rename?
DICEROLL replied to DICEROLL's question in Mod Organizer Support
Thank you very much for answering Aiyen :D and sorry for posting it in the wrong forum. I don't think I did a 'Replace' while installing any mods, it must mean I Merged every time there was such a popup cause I didn't rename either. Well it's all very interesting and new to me. -
Installing mods with MO, merge, replace or rename?
DICEROLL posted a question in Mod Organizer Support
I have a feeling that I have messed up some of my installation because I was unclear of how to install them. Sometimes when I install a optional file or anything else, MO asks me to merge, replace or rename the file. How can I be sure I always choose the correct option? Example from STEP list: Enhanced Distant Terrain 2 - Dragonborn users also install Dragonborn optional file. I first installed EDT2, and then I installed the optional Dragonborn file. It asked me the same dialogue as I mentioned above, I chose 'merge' was that the wrong decision? Thanks -
Following STEP guide, SMIM info is outdated..?
DICEROLL replied to DICEROLL's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Didn't mean to pump the thread, but I thank you for updating the wiki it cleared up everything! I have one remaining question, why the ropes are not in 3D after I installed SMIM? I'm in Riverwood and the ropes on the posts are still just pure textures, I don't think Fence meshes are changed either :( should I worry about this or continue with my STEP installation? -
Following STEP guide, SMIM info is outdated..?
DICEROLL replied to DICEROLL's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Do I need to install EVERYTHING else? Except the Furniture Chests and Farmhouse Woven Fence Dense (I remember flickering last time I tried SMIM but not with STEP) The wording in Wiki could be improved.. so confusing. Sorry for being stupid -
Following STEP guide, SMIM info is outdated..?
DICEROLL replied to DICEROLL's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Inside the installer, there are so many options, I select CUSTOM and then I only need to tick 'Modified Vanilla Barrels'..? And then press install? I'm sorry, it's my first time using Mod Organizer. And I don't understand the special way to install this mod for STEP, could you please be more specific. Am I able to 'manually install' this through MO? Or it needs to be installed through the SMIM installer? I will leave it for today and go to sleep :D I don't really want to miss this step I think.. I would be really really happy if someone can explain the installation of SMIM shortly -
Following STEP guide, SMIM info is outdated..?
DICEROLL posted a question in General Skyrim LE Support
Hi I'm trying to follow the guide on the main page. But I've stopped where I met Static Mesh Improvement Mod in the list, and the information given in https://wiki.step-project.com/Static_Mesh_Improvement_Mod#Recommendations looks very poor to me. Cause I'm quite certain they are for an older version of SMIM, and then I see another point below saying "StaticMeshImprovementMod.esp is no longer necessary due to 100% OVERLAP with USP." I don't get it, should I still install SMIM V1-56 :D? But what about the options..? They look different than what I read in STEP wiki, so how do I know what to do here? I use Mod Organizer btw. Thanks, first time following STEP so far everything looks very promising.
