  1. This is where I am confused. If it is irrelevant, why can I only increase the ambient hd tree brightness in texgen with the quality version, but not with the performance version?
  2. Apologies, but I'm not sure we are on the same page, or perhaps I'm just tired, or my terminology is wrong. I don't need to change the brightness of the 3D tree LOD. I need to change the brightness of the billboards on Level 8/16. For the quality version, changing the hd tree ambient setting in texgen does exactly that. But with the performance version, increasing the ambient setting has no effect. I don't know why that is. Is there maybe a way to use the performance 3D tree LOD assets with the quality billboards?
  3. Thanks, I switched to quality and it let me change the ambient which solved it. Unfortunately the performance is significantly worse, with "optimal" settings overlooking falkreath I go from a constant 70 fps to 55. Is a 21% performance hit expected? If it is, do you know of a way to change the ambient setting with the performance version?
  4. You mentioned trying the quality version at the beginning of this thread, I forgot to mention it but I did try switching and I didn't notice any difference. Here is a comparison with and without TLL. It doesn't look as you describe it.
  5. They are still a little bit dark during midday but not really noticeable. They are also noticeably darker at night. If I increase the brightness they become better during night but are horribly bright during the day.
  6. The problem should be quite obvious. The trees on the right are significantly darker than the ones on the left.
  7. Sorry about the long wait. I was wrong about it just being the snowy trees, it is actually all of them But here are screenshots with the console open in case they are helpful: https://imgur.com/a/eIDWS4s
  8. I switched between them and they still don't match I can't click on them in the console. I don't have any mod that is preventing me from clicking on them. Is there an ini setting I need to change to be able to do so? All I could do it take screenshots during the night and during the day It looks to me like the left is level0 and the right is billboard4. Something is wrong with the contrast I think, but I don't know much about these things. Thank you for your patience. P.S. I have used your mod for many, many years. I don't see a way to donate to you. Do you take donations?
  9. https://ufile.io/whomckgr Here are my logs. I don't know what you mean by Game of Thrones. I'm not sure what you want me to take a screenshot of. Also, I forgot to mention, it looks a lot worse at night. During the day the difference in brightness isn't as noticeable. If I enable my weather mod NAT it becomes more noticeable since there is less distant fog to obscure it. Thank you for the help, I'm sorry if this is a stupid question.
  10. https://streamable.com/2nbbds I'm using happy little trees with the dyndolod addon. Using these mesh settings. I tried changing the billboard brightness setting, but it doesn't help. I'm at a loss at this point so anything helps. I generated on a vanilla setup and I have the same problem there so it isn't a conflict.
  11. I'm trying to install ERM - Enhanced Rocks and Mountains properly and it says: "The recommended DynDOLOD mesh rules are mask=mountain, LOD4/Level0, LOD8/Level0, LOD16/Level1, (LOD32/Level0 if running ACMoS). The performance impact is minimal, regardless." What exactly does it want me to do? I don't have a mesh rule called "mountain". I figured out how to add a mesh rule, and I assume I type "mountain" in Mesh Mask / Reference FormID. What do I do after that? Should I check VWD? What option do I choose for Grid and Reference? https://dyndolod.info/Help/Mesh-Mask-Reference-Rules I read this but I'm still not sure what to do. Thanks.
  12. Thanks, that fixed it. Not sure why, I've never had to use that before. Didn't even know it existed. Isn't that just supposed to be if you don't use papyrusutil?
  13. Just to make sure I didn't have a mod conflict, I reran dyndolod in a vanilla install, and it still happens. Here are my logs: https://ufile.io/b7t7asnr
  14. If I type "coc poipineforest20" in the console at the main menu, the campfire is to the east. Dyndolod initializes after a couple seconds and the lod pops up.
  15. If I disable dyndolod in the mcm the duplicate goes away. Turn it back on and after 10 seconds when dyndolod initializes, it comes back. Happens every time in a new save. But like I said, the mod author for embers xd said he thinks it was his fault, so I assume it's nothing to worry about.
  16. Oh yeah, forgot to mention. The recent drivers for nvidia broke texgen. It hangs at the same texture each time. It works when I downgrade the driver but just thought you should know in case you want to look into it.
  17. https://ufile.io/w1vesy9w - Log Folder https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/37085?tab=description - The mod i'm referring to I asked the mod author about it. He said he thinks it was his fault and that he'll fix it in the next version.
  18. I managed to make a "fix" by finding the record "Campfire01Burning_DynDOLOD_LOD" in DynDOLOD.esm, then changed the filename path to "meshes\clutter\woodfires\campfire01burning.nif" which is the correct mesh from embers xd. It duplicates the flame effects so looks slightly odd but I suppose it works for now. Still no idea why it did this.
  19. https://i.imgur.com/mBbJ9PJ.png It should be using the campfire01burning.nif from embers xd, but it's using the one from skyrim.esm. And it's also showing up in loaded cells. Any idea why this would be happening? Shouldn't it be using the nif from embers xd? There's nothing overwriting it and I can't figure out why dyndolod is using the wrong reference. *forgot to mention "campfire01burning_dyndolod_lod.nif" is from dyndolod resources.
  20. Is there a way to stop that from happening? I'm using multiple grass mods, I made a grass patch for them, so I don't know which mod bethini is confused about. I deleted the ini files included with them but it's still setting the grass density to 60, which is way too high. It should be 20 or 30.
  21. Whenever I open bethini, it sets imingrasssize to 60. No matter what it was at before, if I open bethini, it automatically sets it to 60, so I have to manually change it every single time. I've tried reinstalling bethini, but it doesn't work. Doesn't make sense to me why this is happening. Any ideas why?
  22. Here is a video of the issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zhVo5oUd10&feature=youtu.be As you can see, the lod sometimes just doesn't load in properly, even if I go right up to it. This can be incredibly annoying and immersion breaking. I am using the medium preset. Also, lod such a massive rocks, which very obviously flicker right in front of me, if I doesn't decide to break and not load in at all. I have no idea why this is happening. It happens even on a new save, and I really don't think i'm doing anything wrong. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
  23. I'm not sure what i'm done wrong here. Here's my modwatch. For some reason windmills near whiterun randomly disappear and reappear for seemingly no reason. Installing skymills at first seemed to fix it, but the dyndolod windmills still randomly appear and turn it into an eight turbine windmill. Does anybody know why this is happening? https://modwat.ch/u/jmeyer73/plugins
