hey again, quick question; when loading and saving a plugin in ck it says to make sure that the overwrite folder is empty, in a few instances i may have had the sse cache present in there. is that gunna cause any issues? should i go back and just reinstall those mods (dont need to restart the guide right?) or can i just reload and save those plugins in ck (with empty overwrite folder) without reinstalling the mod. thanks again u r a star

Ive gotten to: Known Game Breaking Bug: Problem: During the main quest at the Thalmor embassy you can't get through the door to continue on with the main quest. Solution: Delete Cell \ Block 7 \ Sub-Block 4 \ 0007C98B <ThalmorEmbassy01> from EnhancedLightsandFX.esp There isn't a delete option so i assume we click remove. i also assume we do do it in the left pane. also the loot metadata updates... are we suppose to do those as we go or near the end?

I heard rumour of A rebuild of LoTD and another one called Odyssey of the Dragonborn. I was wondering if there was any info about these on the discord? cos I couldn't find it. any links or direction would be great also, i was wondering why the guide doesn't instruct us to 'self-port' certain 'big' mods thanks

Hey, are there any mods that people are still waiting to come to SSE? (and this guide) (i know many have been replaced with equivalents) has this guide finally surpassed the legacy edition? fallout has New California & The Frontier; I'm wondering if Skyrim has any massive mods on the horizon? congratulations on your recent 'stable' release by the way. Cheers

I haven't played Skyrim in half a decade so I don't know what I want; so I'm asking if people think that all the must-have mods have made it to this guide, or if I should wait till they have. I would be happy making updates to my game but someone said that I should restart my campaign after any update to avoid messing my game up. so I won't update if that's the case. thx 4 da reply

hey guys glad to see you are still going strong. I have a question, wonder if anyone can help me out. I plan to install this guide and then play the game for probably a year, I then won't touch it again for another few years I'm sure. upon completing the guide, I highly doubt that ill restart my game in that year to accommodate a guide update. so question is, do you think I should wait for more features/mods to be added or just go ahead and start the guide in the next month or two? I've already waited years to do this playthrough so I can happily wait longer. thanks in advance. any advice would be ever so appreciated. love you all peace

Hi all, its been a while since I've visited and im quite eager to install this guide. my only question; is it likely/probable that upon getting this guide fully installed and operational that an update will be released for the guide that will require a complete reinstall of the guide? (not just some minor work). any advice would be great. it's just i imagine this will take me a few weeks to install (assuming I don't break it first try) and I'd hate to have to do it again. I'd rather just wait another 6 months to a year if that's the case. Thanks for all your hard work, much love. Roy

hey does anyone more experienced (with this guide and the original) have any idea how this guide compares to the original? (in their current forms). I think the original has a larger contents list but I know many mods have been merged into "collections" when they were ported to SSE & the content list isn't much larger which leads me to believe that this guide might now be bigger...
-
so would anybody be able to enlighten me, going forward, if I were to install this guide now... is it likely that I would have to do a complete reinstall when the guide is updated? or would I just be tweaking the setup? and if I would have to do a complete reinstall could I keep my save or would I need to start again?

**not that this is any real indicator of much** You might be interested to hear that the main page for LLOTDSE has over half as many words as the original guide. I feel like the new guide won't need as many words to match the original as some mods for the original are redundant for SE, and others streamlined. When you consider that extra words are probably being used to explain how to port or tweak certain mods for SE I feel like these two aspects are likely to balance each other somewhat. one exciting thought though comes from the efficiency of SE... that more mods can be put into the updated engine. this leads me to the totally uneducated guess that LLOTDSE is roughly 66% complete relative to the original guide. and probably 33% complete relative to its ultimate form. I was interested to see how the guides compare and I thought I'd share my findings for anyone curious. by no means does anything I've said hold water though, very unscientific approach but possibly a vague indicator of progress.

I just went through the excel document and you might be excited to know that if you assume all mods carry equal weight then the guide is between 60% & 75% done. the numbers came out to 68.7% to be precise however there are probably some bugs that need fixing and the like; so that increases the range due to uncertainty. if you would rather that I keep any math related analysis of your progress to myself just say :)

not too fussed about beyond reach. maybe add it later if there is plenty of room left? I mean if its easily inserted then, I guess, why not? Oh wow! just noticed, that if I'm logged in, I can edit the guide. just sort of assumed it would be protected against trolls. ok well, going through it and correcting grammar is the least I can do :) I'll Start tomorrow

Made an account just to say thank you. You are a legend. Haven't played Skyrim in years. Only just upgraded my rig to make use of a full step loadout a few months ago. Have been putting it off. Then, today I see that you are working on this! Needless to say, I'm very excited to watch this progress. Busy with my A-levels atm so I won't be testing the installation process for you but I will definitely read through the guide in my spare time and post any peculiarities or spelling mistakes I find here. if this isn't wanted, just say :) First thing: "Microsoft in there infinite wisdom have decided to impose a VRAM cap for games the that use" there ---> their* the ----> assumed typo, unnecessary "This tag represents mods that are download from Classic Skyrim." download ----> downloaded* . -----> nexus. "This tag represents mods that have there esp run the the Creation Kit." have ----> need* there ----> their* the ----> through* "Install as separate or own mod in MO" I'm assuming you mean "Install separately or merge into one mod in MO" I made it too "A Note about Converting Old Plugins" I will continue in the next few days; if there is a major spelling mistake I will point out all minor mistakes in the immediate vicinity, as they may as well be fixed while you are there. I'll skip over many of the minor spelling mistakes to minimise your workload, for instance, "there" doesn't need to be changed to "their" if it stands alone as everyone can instantly understand what you meant. once again, thank you for all your work
