We are on almost the exact same step. Run SSEedit from MO (as the setup steps in the Prerequisites). Select None and then select The Obsidian Weather Beyond Syrim Esp (just like when cleaning). After it loads, look on the left side and select the Mod and Click File Header underneath. Then on the right edit the Value for Record Flag. The direction say "Record Tag" but I couldn't find that. "Record Flag" was an option and I unchecked esl. I assume that was what was required. Then close SSEedit to save. If someone knows that I've done this wrong, please let me know, but that's how I took the instructions.

So far I've completed the install Guide up through the Omega section. I take it that when you are installing this whole Mod list, you cannot enable one section of mods at a time and play test for stability right? Some section are dependent upon later sections for stability correct? That means you don't know if you game is stable or not until the end? The reason I ask is I got a CTD after loading the Omega mods, but I haven't completed the rest of the list. The CTD occurred after using the Alternative start at the LotD ruins. After running LOOT I see I've got a ton of mod which are required but since they are not installed yet, the game shouldn't be expected to run correctly. Am I understanding this right?

No worries. Thanks for your honesty about it. It feels like you're going for several of the same themes, enhanced realism, more challenge, and incorporating Omega seems to be one of the more Requiem'ish ideas. I'm very much looking forward to you finishing this update. I was going to try and finish my LotD install tomorrow (so far I've only done up to step 17), but in light of your work in progress, I'll do a GPU fan mod I was intending instead and wait for the Omega update to be fully posted. Thank you for everything you're doing.

Hello STEP community. I've been missing out on Skyrim for several years. I last played STEP 2.2.6 back in 2013 but I never made it passed the first Alduin battle. Last summer I installed 2.10.0 but never played it. (I got too caught up in competitive Mech Warrior Online and then PUBG for the last 5 years). I really want to get back into the game. I'm looking at Lexy's guide and thinking it's what fits me best. My Steam will only let me install Special Edition for some reason even though I originally purchased oldrim/LE. I've looked at Belmont Boy's Ultimate Skyrim and I would really like to give Requiem a go, but I can't download LE (I do have backups though kinda). Anyhow my question is... How does Lexy's LotD with Morrowloot and the newly implemented(in progress) Omega mods compare with Requiem? I see that LotD already includes Campfire, frostfall, iNeed, and Keep it clean, which are some important immersion mods. Some advantages of LotD is you get the discipline of STEP along with Legacy of the Dragonborn (which all requiem packs miss). But SSE misses Requiem's economic changes, arrow penetration, slower leveling, etc. Are these mostly covered in Omega and will that make LotD feel very Requiem'ish? Please forgive my ignorance and Thank you in advance for any responses :)

Is the 3.1 crash 3.1GB of VRAM or 3.1GB of RAM? Sorry I've been getting conflicting reports. I heard it was RAM, not VRAM.

DROPPED Skyrim Distant Detail (by Kazoomie - Dovahsbane)
Valkeriefire replied to MadWizard25's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I just wanted to post that this mod (distant detail) gave me frequent Inifinite Loading Screens. I followed STEP to the letter multiple times but could not get rid of frequent Inifitite Loading Screens. Then I disabled the ESP for this mod, and I rarely if ever get Inifinite Load screens. I do miss the mod, terrain popping into view is now much more obvious, but I'd rather do with that than the loading screens. I am running a 3770k @ 4.6ghz, 8GB 2133 RAM, and SLi GTX 760 2GB so my hardware shouldn't be a limitation. Has anyone else experienced this with this mod? I don't think it was a load order issue since I use BOSS. -
Skyrim crashing Help pls
Valkeriefire replied to 404NoNameFound's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I found this pretty helpful. I am also having occasional CTDs and freezes, but not more often than once an hour if that. I guess I am relatively stable then. Still I do think I would like to reduce my esp list by combining mods with Tes5edit. -
Will a few "minor" script errors in my save kill my game?
Valkeriefire replied to Valkeriefire's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Thank you WilliamImm. Based on your modding experience I'd say you are more than qualified to answer this, thank you for responding. It is good to know I can now play the game and enjoy it rather than worry about my save games and or start all over. @ Mods, We can call this SOLVED, thread can be closed. -
Hello, I am new to the forum but I've been following STEP closely for about a month.  I am running STEP 2.2.6 (which I've installed quite meticulously on my most recent install) along with some UNP and armor mods from Skyrim Revisited, but no ENB or anything serious outside of STEP.  I was getting occasional infinite load screens, so I tried reinstalling and switching mod managers.  After multiple installs and switching from Wyre Bash to MO and back to Wyre, I am finally settled on my mod list.  I removed Blood effects and Spell Effects due to the recent news about their script CTDs, but then I noticed my save games needed them and I couldn't get the scripts out of my saves, even following the Troubleshooting guide waiting 31 days, and using the Script cleaner here.  So I reinstalled both of those mods to avoid any problems (and to be honest I don't think I ever had a CTD due to them anyway).  I still have a few script errors in my saves.  I even tried a new game from Helgen and they are still there.  Will this make a difference?  Should I try and get rid of them or just deal with it and hope for the best? Examples are... ErrError: File "Wyrmstooth.esp" does not exist or is not currently loaded. or: File "getSnowy.esp" does not exist or is not currently loaded. Here are the errors from my log papyrus files... System Specs Win8 Pro 3770k @ 4.6ghz 8gb RAM@ 2133 GTX 760 2GB Sli on a Dell 2560x1440 256gb Samsung SSD with OS and Skyrim etc. Skyrim Launcher is set to Ultra with AAx4.  INI files are stock as I removed all the STEP ini tweaks to be sure they aren't causing my infinite loads I had.  I don't think they are the cause but I wanted to be sure. STEP 2.2.6 baseline (1024k textures) Wyre Bash (I didn't like how MO seemed to be delayed and I felt like I had more problems with MO) Here is my mod list and Load Order Thanks your help.  I appreciate all the awesome work everyone at STEP has done.
