  1. Hi there, I would like to have your opinion on the use of "Save cleaner" (from this nexus page https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31724/?) to keep your save relatively clean during a playthrough? I am 168 hours into a SRLE LOTD playthrough (built in December from the old guild before all the updates), and little bugs and various annoyances have accumulated. However after one cleaning, a big part of my dragonborn museum collection had vanished, physically from their display in the museum and from the MCM lists. I had not had that problem with the couple of previous cleaning on this save. Anyway, does this tool have any merits or is it completely obsolete and/or dangerous and should be avoided? I don't see the size of my save decrease at all after a cleaning so I have my doubts now. Cheers
  2. I am bookmarking your page, it will be so helpful for my next install with the new guide! I gave up on the enb (and dyndolod) early on with my 2GB vram laptop and it has has been fairly stable and beautiful, but if I can make it even more stable and beautiful, I'll take it! Big thanks from a low-mid end system player ;)
  3. Has anyone encountered the Falskaar's bug where the Trap door on the boat to return to Skyrim doesn't work? My Passage Home quest is active, with the marker pointing to the trap door. This bug problem was mentioned on this forum back in August 2016, and the fix seems to be to install the mod Island Fast travel. If there is another workaround this bug (besides using coc or adding the fast travel mod), I am interested.
  4. Will the new standalone version also (potentially) include extra mod suggested recently, such as diversity, or just what Nozzer said? Either way I'll definitely go through it with my next playthrough! Otherwise my flying mammoth and cutlery problem from a few weeks ago was due to vsynch being off for no good reasons. Fixed.
  5. Hi everyone, I am currently at level 22, still playing in chicken (adept) mode, and still feeling the need to go venture with a follower or two (and my ever faithful conjured direwolf and my three rats). I am definitely not ready yet for Yash or Requiem. I have only encountered minor issues that I managed to resolve eventually. - One that got me really worried was the systematic CTD during the first dragon encountered outside Whiterun. I was at level 15, the game would CTD when the dragon takes off after its first landing. It happened 4 times, always the same way. I eventually fixed that by telling my two followers to go have some tea, and only fighting the dragon with the original whiterun crew. I assume this is a heavily scripted sequence and the two extra followers was just too much. maybe. - I was a bit unsettled when I went to the blue palace with Toccata because she and Elisif look exactly the same. Therefore I tried to deactivate Elisif as Toccata. Unfortunately poor Elisif lost her face in the process, and only kept two floating eyes, which was way more unsettling. I had assumed that the Bijin texture or vanilla texture would take over. I was wrong. I fixed the issue (sort of) by reactivating the mod and coming up with a story where Toccata and Elisif are actually twins, but Toccata was kidnapped and brought up by a skoomadicted healer, therefore the two don't know each other (very un-original, I know). They also happen to have the same hairdresser. - Another one I am still having (and is a bit silly), is when I enter rooms, objects go flying. Not always or everywhere, but in places like the dragonreach hall or Solitude palace, books and goblets and plates end up all over the place, even without colliding with them. I end up picking up the objects and clumsily putting them back on tables and shelves because I don't like to leave a mess. I don't know what mod or settings is doing this. Again this is a minor issue but it's a really weird one. Not as weird as the occasional flying cow though. Otherwise thank you very much for all the work and updating. Cheers
  6. Thanks for the replies. The two boxes were already unchecked, but I had defenitely missed that part of the MCM. One of the Heavy armor perk is indeed a buff to your armor rating when you wear 5 heavy pieces. When I do, my steel plate armor bumps up to 74 (and any other heavy armor I tried on also gets a bump, which makes sense). I'm only wearing the Saarthal necklace. After further inspection and comparing further between my lvl 1 and lvl 10 saves, I noticed that light armor pieces have not scaled up at all, as opposed to all weapons (even woodaxe) and heavy armor pieces. Here are a few examples: At level 1 (all found on dead bandits at the "I was attacked by a dragon" starting site): At level 10 (from the forge crafting menu or my inventory): Everything scaling up except for light armor seems even weirder. I have re-run the bashed patch, with no effect. Any wisdom would be appreciated.
  7. Hi everyone, first post on the forum. I'm currently at level 10, and I noticed that the steel plate armor I have picked up on a dead bandit leader right at the beginning (with the "I was attacked by a dragon" alternate start - new beginnings) , has been leveling up with me. Based on my first save the armor rating was 41 at level 1, it is now 59 at level 10. I also came across one dwarven blade at some point, and its rating was very similar to the steel weapon I was using. I don't know if it is supposed to be that way (all weapons and armors aligned to your level), but it defeats the purpose of exploring, hunting for items and leveling up in my opinion. I have followed the SRLE extended guide, patching and MCM recommendations to the letter (apart from doing away with the enb and dyndolod because of my laptop's performances), but I may have missed or messed up tweaks, settings or patching along the way. Otherwise playing with this build has been a hell lot of fun, much more challenging and balanced than before, and it looks phenomenal, even without enb or dyndolod! And most of all, it is super stable!
