  1. Cool idea. It would drive me nuts that the pennants don't match the banners from Designs of the Nords lol.
  2. I did. There have been a couple updates to SMIM since then, and I haven't seen anyone else reporting the issue. I'm not sure if it was just me being struck by lightning by the mod gods, or no one else has noticed etc. edit: I just browsed the Nexus thread for SMIM and some people are having trouble with this same mesh but it seems to only be affecting MO users.
  3. I recently did a reinstall of Skyrim and had the same SMIM issue you are having with the rope meshes on farmhouses, walkways etc. I found that the installer was not putting the mesh file into the mod organizer directory. It wasn't installing it. I unzipped the mod and manually moved the nif file into the right directory and that fixed it.
  4. Yep that was it :) I took the loose files version out of habit and read the file description as "this one has realistic teeth" lol. Should have known there is a mod called that. Thanks.
  5. With or without diverse guards installed, and with or without DDSOpt'ing the textures I'm seeing purple teeth on guards. Â Especially Whiterun guards. Â A bunch of them have locked teeth too. Â Their lips move when they talk but their teeth stay locked together lol. Â This is with Diverse Guards 4.5 loose. Â I must be missing the diffuse texture file or something. Â Can anyone tell me what to try to fix it? Â What are the names of the vanilla teeth textures?
  6. It was the new SMIM mesh which was taking precedence. To get the texture to appear I had to remove the mesh file. I must not have had that SMIM choice installed during my last play through. Thanks Garfink.
  7. I have a funny yet annoying problem.  No matter what I try I cannot get the chest textures from https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4457/? to appear in game.  I'm using Mod Organizer and I followed most of STEP (left a few mods out as personal preference).  I have double checked the files are in the right folder structure in the MO folder, I redownloaded the mod, I tried it with and without DDSopt, then I tried adding the files directly to the Skyrim folder.  I had these textures on my last install when I used Wrye Bash and now it's a total mystery! lol  No matter what I do I get the vanilla textures for chests.  Any ideas? I'm not sure if it's related, but I had to reinstall Deadly Dragons four times before it would appear in my MCM menus.
  8. Does anyone which texture file would be responsible for the purple (missing diffuse map) teeth? Â Seeing this on guards in Whiterun but nowhere else. Â I'm not sure what vanilla file to extract in order to fix it.
  9. I had hoped to find a solution to this issue and them come back and post it for all to see. However even with all mods disabled and a brand new character started, I still cannot interact with two of the Companions. So I will be reverting to the pristine vanilla backup, confirming that resolves it, and beginning the process of adding the mods again. Someone may want to mark this thread as closed/completed etc. Thanks
  10. I have a completed STEP install (it's actually the last version of Skyrim Revisited) and I ran into a few small problems.  All of the issues I was having were already identified and solved here on these boards save one.  Aela the Huntress and one other Companion NPC cannot be interacted with.  When the crosshair passes over her there is no option to talk.  Pressing the activate "E" key does nothing.  If I sneak behind her I don't have the option to pickpocket her either.  I had to use a setstage console command to get past the errand of returning her shield so that I could complete the quest to join the Companions.  It's as though the game only draws her graphic and she's not really there to interact with.  She will make various comments that are part of her idles, but of course I can't actually speak to her. This problem extends to one other npc but I don't know his name (this is actually my first play through but after playing Fallout NV vanilla and then fully modded, I regretted doing a completely vanilla first run).  He is also located in the below ground barracks zone of the Companions.  I can however speak to and get quests from Farkas and any other Companion, other than Aela and that male.  I can also talk to non quest givers in the same area as these two npcs.  I have also not seen this issue with any other npc in the cities or wilderness so far. I'm not sure if it's related but I also can't see a health bar when I target a follower like Lydia.  Even when she is wounded and I cast a heal on her.  I've tried messing with the settings in Extensible Follower Framework, but that has not helped either.  I have confirmed that it isn't a custom UI setting that is hiding some elements of the hud.  I'm suspicious of something that affects followers being the root cause for both these problems. Anyone have any ideas about what might be causing this? I'm certainly going to do the "deactivate one at a time" thing and try to find the source of the issue, but I'm hoping someone has run into this problem before.
