  1. I have also had this issue for the past few days. Someone on the Legacy of the Dragonborn forum told me that it had to do with changes in Nexus to comply with new standards. They also said that until MO2 did an upgrade the only way around it was to download manually, and then move the file into the left pain of MO2 manually. That seems to work, but has other sorts of error messages I don't understand -- nor which seem to interfere with the installation working ok.
  2. I downloaded BethINI and do like the way it works. I did some testing walking in daytime just outside of Whiterun, heading towards the giants. Ultra => FPS 11 to 15, lots of detail in grass etc. High => FPS 15+, still good detail and distance vision. Medium => FPS 25 or so, but losing detail and distance vision. Low => FPS 25, much loss of detail, e.g. grass nearby not even present. Poor => FPS 35 to 40, but fairly poor detail, almost no grass etc. I'll give High a try for a while. If stuttering becomes a problem, will try dropping back to medium. Thanks to both of you. EDIT: forgot to ask, what do you mean by capping textures at 1K? Where is that done? And what is HRDLC? If you meant Hearthfires, I am running a mod that requires that.
  3. I am trying to make use of ENB Boost to solve memory problems in Skyrim. I am getting low FPS numbers compared to what I am reading of others. Perhaps I do not have my settings correct, or perhaps that is just the way it is given my system. I would appreciate getting advice on whether or not I can improve this. My video card is a NVIDIA GT 620 which has 1GB VRam and 3GB of shared ram.My system is a DELL 8500, Intel® Core™ i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz , four cores , with 16GB system memory, running with Windows 7 Pro. Here are what I think are the relevant INI files: The enblocal and enbseries are in my Skyrim directory and the skyrimprefs file is in the Mod Organizer Profile directory. enblocal.ini enbseries.ini skyrimprefs.ini
  4. Thanks. That helped. I am now getting mostly black and white outside at night, but torches and fires do have color -- so I think things are as they should be.
  5. I recently went through an experiment trying out some ENB presets, but none of them worked well for me. I decided to revert to just using the basic ENBoost to get the memory management functions. In reverting, I must have deleted some critical file that manages the colors for outside scenes. The are almost all black and white now. Can someone give me pointers on how to recover from this mistake? Is there an *.fx file that manages the outdoor colors (which i might have deleted by mistake). I have followed the guides and believe that I have enblocal.ini and enbseries.ini done correctly.
  6. Thanks for the references, they help a lot. I believe that I have removed all traces of the presets I had tried to install, and am no longer having the problem whereby I am seeing through what should be solid structures.
  7. OK -- I went and looked for ENB Preset, and had great difficulty making sense of any of them. Some were very complicated to install, with no clear indication as to how to remove them if they did not play nice with my setup. Others caused jerky motion -- possibly because I don't have as much vRam as they want. I'm giving up on presets and will simply use ENBseries set as: [GLOBAL] UseEffect=false Where can I find out what all of those parameters mean, and what (if any) changes I should make to what seem to be the three prime ini files, enblocal, enbseries and skyrimprifs. I seem to have done something (and know what I did) that is causing me to occasionally see through walls. Any idea what parameter(s) might have that impact?
  8. I am trying to get ENB to work the way I think it should, but something is very wrong. I have downloaded ENB version 3.08 and installed it into my Skyrim directory as instructed by extracting files from folder WrapperVersion to my game folder. My problem is that all of the scenery is dull and washed out. In fact it looks much better if I disable ENB by setting UseEffect=false in [GLOBAL] of enbseries.ini. My video card is a NVIDIA GT 620 which has 1GB VRam and 3GB of shared ram. I set the memory parameters in enblocal.ini to: ReservedMemorySizeMb=128 VideoMemorySizeMb=3862 Can any one give me a hint as to what I might have done wrong? My enblocal.ini file : and my enbseries.ini file:
