  1. Ok, since I have never really been using the setting from BethINI I am now discovering the problem where settings that are not in BethINI which you can make in-game via setting menu, e.g. audio, auto save games, level, keeping loading in the default. I can understand why this is happening, question I have is how do I get the setting I want into the MO2 profile INI. Is it just a matter of googling for the relevant INI setting(s) and manually updating the INI files in the \Profiles folder? Just want to make sure I shouldn't be doing it another way. Thanks Steve
  2. Thank for the confirmation @Edorton. this fixed the problem. Weird that I have always set to the default path in BethINI, playing over 6 months and never had issues. Guess I was missing out on some settings!
  3. Hi Greg, Thanks for the response. Since there was no instruction in TechAngel's guide for this, BethINI is still pointing to the\MyGames... folder. I did some Googling and found some topics about MO2 and the INI files which stated that there was problem and MO2 was not using the INI files ion the Profile folder but as using the ones in \MyGames. Has that changed recently? Thanks Steve
  4. Problem just started the other day, no new mods added, no game changes nothing. I did update nVidia driver but can't image that causing problem. When I launch the game through MO2 the SSE title bar and left border is visible. I am current running all mods from TechAngle's guide here on s.t.e.p. which has been working fine If I run the game using a Default/Vanilla MO2 Profile the problem goes away. Also no problem when using Steam launcher. I have tried removing Windowed Mode and Borderless option in Steam Launcher Option and using BethINI, problem still exists. The only 'unusual' thing that occurred prior to this issues is that I stopped MO2 running SEE mid-load. I had forgotten to log into Steam and I want to cancel the run and load Steam first. Is it possible that during this interrupted load process that the MO2 changed a setting it would normally reset and didn't get a chance to do that? Thanks Steve
  5. FYI, I think I find the issue with my crashing. I can now get into SSE and load a game after updating the Unofficial Patch. So for me using TechAngel's modding guide after the SSE update I had to update the following mods/files - SKSE - PapyrusUtil - moreHUD - Unofficial Patch - The only issue that I might have is during update process I saw it was using textures.bsa so not sure if it has overridden textures Cheers, Steve
  6. @GrantSP - thanks I have done as you suggested and while still not fixed I thought I would pass on the things they have had me try. Try each one separately. They don't solve the problem really but they can provide info for helping find solution so mention on Discord . - Try using Default Profile , i.e. no mods loading - this didn't work - Configure Default profile - uncheck the Local Game Settings - this didn't work - Try run outside MO2 using Steam Launcher - this worked for me - Try run outside MO2 using SKSE - this worked for me - Try a new instance of MO2. You can do this with button in Top Left. This worked for me but since there were no mod it would be like starting from scratch. Cheers, Steve
  7. Hi, Since I am having the same problem I thought I would piggyback on this thread. Setup is: - Windows 7 - MO2 2.1.2 - Installed on D: drive outside of Game folder - Skyrim SE Latest - Installed on D: Drive - Using Mods from Tech's SSE step guide I have been playing for about 3 months with no problems. Stopped playing for a while during which SSE was updated [sigh]. I have updated: - SKSE - PapyrusUtil - moreHUD The crash message is the ever helpful - 'Skyrim SE stopped working etc...' It doesn't get very far as I can still see MO2 in background. I can run the native Skyrim Launcher with no apparent problems. I have attached the log file. I set the MO2 Diagnostics to Debug usvfs-2018-05-02_12-26-34.txt Cheers, Steve
  8. Hi, I am just about finished with modding using this guide and found an earlier post about using this... https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1964/? .. to convert 1.31 scripts back to 1.30 scripts as they are more compatible with current mods, according to description. Since I don't have a GOTY, just have regular version form Steam, should I start over and use this mod to get the 1.30 scripts? thanks Steve
  9. Heya Talos, thanks for the response. I do have this after following the the Texture Mod Merging exercise: [mod0000_MergedFiles] Enabled=1 Priority=0 Does the otherone get created after the Script Merging? Thanks again steve
  10. I don't seem to have this mod - mod0000_MergedPack - did I miss a step? I am up to the part where you create the mods.setting file and one entry is: [mod0000_MergedPack] Enabled=1 Priority=11 But this mod/folder doesnt exist in my Witcher 3\Mods\ folder. if this is part of the FREE DLCs, I down loaded them all from Steam, individually and actually none of those mods are in my mods folder. Do I need to start again? thanks for any and all help Steve
