Overall, an improvement of vanilla textures. I don't like how the author added "crackling" to some of the shields. I'm hoping CaBal redoes these textures. Techangel85 (talk) 23:27, June 10, 2013 (MDT)
At this point, the mod only covers the dragonbone and imperial shields when used with the current Amidianborn textures (including ebony armor). So little of the mod is used at this point that it makes more sense to remove it from STEP. WilliamImm (talk) 20:00, June 22, 2013 (MDT)
There is no evidence that this is better than vanilla or even in the same style as vanilla ~z929669Talk 23:58, June 16, 2013 (MDT)
(seems more different than vanilla than sufficiently better than vanilla) Kelmych (talk) 19:34, June 22, 2013 (MDT)
It seems to be more of an alternate style - no Book of Silence like improvement. That being said, would love to see CaBal120's take on the armor and weapons. WilliamImm (talk) 19:37, June 22, 2013 (MDT)
These are on CaBal's list, so no need for this since they'll eventually be in his future updates. Solist (talk) 21:10, June 25, 2013 (MDT)
Not vanilla textures, completely new look. Techangel85 (talk) 00:12, June 11, 2013 (MDT)
Meant to go with the Book of Silence textures, and should be used until CaBaL120 releases his own retexture. WilliamImm (talk) 09:10, June 11, 2013 (MDT)
not a 'completely' new look, but it does seem that steel is used for the business edges rather than moon ... metal?? ~z929669Talk 00:08, June 17, 2013 (MDT)
This mod makes some weapons unrealistically thin. Edges should certainly be thin, but the center of the blade should be thicker. See the picture here: https://stepmodifications.org/forum/showthread.php?tid=431&pid=32106#pid32106 There is also a comparison pic of Mehrune's Razor on the mod's Nexus page if you want to see another example. I haven't done a thorough comparison to determine just how many fall into this category. Kryptopyr (talk) 21:59, June 25, 2013 (MDT)
Despite the overly thin blades, it's a huge improvement over vanilla. Neovalen
(I honestly don't know enough about this mod to make an informed decision. Does vanilla have sheaths? This seems like fix to me, but not sure.) Techangel85 (talk) 00:23, June 11, 2013 (MDT)
What is the vanilla state? Does this affect NPCs too? If not, then this is only 3rd-person specific. ~z929669Talk 00:16, June 17, 2013 (MDT)
In vanilla, greatswords do not have scabbards or sheathes. In fact, they don't have anything to support them, which is immersion breaking. The scabbards/sheaths will apply to anyone who uses greatswords, player or NPC alike. WilliamImm (talk) 19:41, June 22, 2013 (MDT)
HQ retexture of vanilla. I thought we agreed a while back when this was added that the leather version was nearly a direct retexture? Only changes are to the mask and hood from the mod description. Techangel85 (talk) 00:38, June 11, 2013 (MDT)
Main mod is not vanilla style. Deviates way too much. Not sure if the leather option is better or not. ~z929669Talk 00:20, June 17, 2013 (MDT)

CaBaL120 is planning on retexturing the mask, and I'd bet it would look very awesome considering his track record. Remove when he does, otherwise, keep. WilliamImm (talk) 19:44, June 22, 2013 (MDT)

Can safely be removed when CaBal120 covers the Ysgramor artifacts, but since the texture is so close to vanilla anyway, no reason to remove right now. WilliamImm (talk) 19:38, June 22, 2013 (MDT)
