Serious understanding of mod conflicts needed

Question

Posted (edited)

So yeah, I know what the colors mean but when I watch this video, I feel like I am listening to a bunch of contradictions and I am totally confused.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVmPTNZTP57WjZyjskdUvfA

When I watch it, around 11:00 of the video he mentions stuff about conflicts causing CTDs, which in his case appear to be orange and red. When the video is around 14:20, he mentions that you may not always get green but instead orange and red and acts like its ok which confuses me. I need a better understanding of his video as it is useful but confusing but I'm glad he made it.

Let's say I have 3 mods that conflict, mods A and B have a value that are red but 2 different entires but in the same record, mod C has another different entry but also in the same record and therefore it is orange(conflict winner) but there are still mod conflicts in red, even if I do make the override patch. Please help me on this as I am confused and I want to have a conflict free game to give me less CTDs and other problems.

And yes, I know to run LOOT, that helps some but it doesn't get rid of all my mod conflict problems. I'm even seeing some red and orange even after creating a merged patch and yes my merged patch contains no leveled lists. I reserve those for the bashed patch.

I tried using this patch here: https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Neovalen/Skyrim_Revisited_-_Legendary_Edition/Conflict_Resolution#00037C1F_LItemBanditWarhammer

But I do not have the required mods for it but I am making my own patch for my mods only.
