Vakturion Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 So I'm getting this odd purple sheen over the Talos shrine in Whiterun. I've got nothing overwriting Ren's HD Shrines and I re-installed it just in case, it's still there. Here's a picture of the problem. Just wondering if anyone else is getting this on their shrine.
0 Guest Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 I spotted that, but you can try turn it off: Nifskope > BSLightingShaderProperty > Skyrim Shaders 1 > follow right then dropdown the arrow > untick the Soft Lighting shader > Save.
0 Guest Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Can you grab Nifskope and see if it displays the same in there? Possibly rogue colours on the mesh.
0 Vakturion Posted September 7, 2015 Author Posted September 7, 2015 I have Nifskope but I'm not sure what I'm meant to do with it :)
0 Guest Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Okay, I forgot. Do you have this shrine nif at all? I'm not sure if that mod is textures only or what.
0 Vakturion Posted September 7, 2015 Author Posted September 7, 2015 I've got the .nif open in nifskope and it's grey, I've got the texture nearby but I'm unsure how to apply it to the model.
0 Guest Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 If it's grey it can't be the mesh colours. If you move it around in the view there is no purple?
0 Vakturion Posted September 7, 2015 Author Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) No purple, all grey. Edited September 7, 2015 by Vakturion
0 Guest Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) Right looks like a texture problem then. If you look at the very top of Nifskope, there should be a 'Preferences/Settings' option under one of the tabs. You should then see where you can point it to your textures folder so they show up. There should be a 'Add Folder ' option or similar. There is also a 'Auto Detect' button too, but it's sometimes hit and miss. Edited September 7, 2015 by Guest
0 Vakturion Posted September 7, 2015 Author Posted September 7, 2015 I "Think" I did it right, still no purple.
0 Guest Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Wow lol. I love a mystery! Try moving the '_n.dds' out of your textures folder and test in game with vanilla. Leave the regular texture in there though.
0 Vakturion Posted September 7, 2015 Author Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) Okay, when running vanilla no ENB, only Ren's hd shrines with the missing _n.dds it's the right colour. But I'f I have all of my mods activated and my ENB running, it's purple again. Without the ENB and all of my mods, it's still a little purple I'd say. On the nexus forums within the Ren's HD Shrines topic some said this Just Beautiful. Question...seeing some errors pop up in Creation Kit...Talos shrine missing a soft lighting map, and Akatosh shrine using both parallax and multi-layer parallax. Is this an issue (and fixable in nifskope or fixing the textures) or just CK babble that can be ignored? Thx!!I'm not sure if that means anything to this. Edited September 7, 2015 by Vakturion
0 Vakturion Posted September 7, 2015 Author Posted September 7, 2015 Sorry, I couldn't find the 'Skyrim Shaders 1'
0 Guest Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 'Shader Flags 1' my bad. It's very late here. If that doesn't work I will check tomorrow night if possible.
0 Vakturion Posted September 8, 2015 Author Posted September 8, 2015 (edited) Sorry for the late reply, I don't see soft shading on the flags 1, but i do see it on flags 2. Should I untick this one? Edited September 8, 2015 by Vakturion
