richardo111 Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Hei to all and thanks for help in advance I am following STEP guide 2.29.1 -- I have a NVIDIA card (MSI GTX 980 4G) and setting what it is stated for the NVIDIA Inspector The Skyrim Launcher default sets Antialiasing - Anisotropic Filtering to 8 and 16 repectively When i start the game i can see the far snowy mountains shimmering, but mostly only when i walk ---- What can i do?
0 TechAngel85 Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 That's z-fighting and there is no way to get rid of it completely. This mod will help cover it up: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59809/?
0 richardo111 Posted August 25, 2015 Author Posted August 25, 2015 I thought that it was due the (Copy/Paste from STEP 2291) - Anisotropic filtering setting to 16x. High values may cause texture shimmering in mid to long range texture LODs. I though some time ago i read also some settings in one of the skyrim ini's to alleviate it.... Will see if i can try your mod recommendation
0 TechAngel85 Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 You can lower it. All it's going to do is blur the textures in those ranges. Some users can live with it, some users it really bothers seeing the blur.
