unable to create directory error TES5Edit

Question

Searched and seems nobody else ran into this yet. Almost finished with STEP extended installation, but I'm getting an error now when running TES5Edit:

- Initially had "-o" set to default directory (C:\), but moved to D:\ and set permissions to full control for user (admin) thinking it was a permissions issue. Same result, but where the exception number was "3" initially it is now "1" as in above bug report

- tried setting MO, TES5Edit, and the LODGen apps to "run as administrator" with same result

Note: steam installation must stay on D drive and can't be moved to C

Any suggestions on what to try next?

Check the actual argument that you have in the shortcut. According to that log you have it as:

command line : "D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\TES5Edit_3_1_1\TES5Edit.exe" -o:'D:\TES5LODGenOutput

Take note of the ' immediately before the output folder. It should be:

command line : "D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\TES5Edit_3_1_1\TES5Edit.exe" -o:D:\TES5LODGenOutput
