request failed: connection refused

I'm no longer able to launch skyrim from MO for some reason.  It just immediately crashes and the message "request failed: connection refused" shows up in the bottom of MO.  Not sure what this means.  I started systematically checking if it was some of the more recent mods I installed, but it doesn't seem to be.  Could this have anything to do with Nexus being down for maintenance?

Doubtful. Have you made sure your Security Software is not blocking MO or SKSE from launching?

Figure it out.  Silly oversight on my part.   Didn't put the Cleaned Update.esm at the top of the priority order.  All seems to be working fine (so far). 

 

 

Started to install more mods and same problem even with update.esm at the top.  Any thoughts?

 

How do I double check if my security software (I'm just using windows defender) is blocking the launch?

 

Edit:  Looks like this has to do with Consistent Old people.  And I'm guessing its because I'm doing the extended step and haven't installed BOYD yet.
