When launching SKSE thru MO, get default steam Skyrim loader

Noobsayer

Question

So this isn't about not getting the memory patch to work or whatever. I have two problems as far as I can tell.

1) MO can't tell when steam is running (it asks me to start it up even when it's already running)

2) When the game launches, it launches the default steam launcher. From the looks of things, none of my mods are working (not just the SKSE ones) so it appears MO is not taking effect.

I tried letting MO "open" steam (even though it's already running) and I tried telling it no, either way the result is the same. I haven't changed anything about my mod setup since I played a few months ago, except to add a new White Phial replacer. I haven't even updated USKP etc. because I don't feel like doing compatibility stuff again right now.

I did have MO 1.25, had DL troubles, upgraded to 1.26 ... but it was doing this on 1.25 as well.

Suggestions? =/ I'm out of practice here.

I've noticed my MO try to launch steam as well after upgrading to 1.2.6. My suggestion for that is to close the steam application, and also disable it from startup. Doing this and allowing MO to explicitly handle and open steam seemed to have fixed that issue for me.

As for skse not launching properly, I'm not entirely sure. Make sure your skse binary in MO is pointed to the skse executable and not the standard skyrim executable. Other than that maybe someone else has some better insight?
