The Skyrim Distance Overhaul & SkyFalls and SkyMills

I noticed Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Edition uses both of these mods but does not appear to be using the optional texture included in the "SkyFalls and SkyMills Patch" in the optional files section of The Skyrim Distance Overhaul mod. 

If I understand Grieche correctly he recommends using the optional patch when these mods are used together.  Was the optional texture skipped on purpose?

I actually use it just haven't had time to test what it is supposed to fix nor write it in the guide. During normal play, however, I never noted the problem its supposed to fix in my game.
