I am lucky enough to have a pretty high performance rig and am generally surprised at how when new areas are loading, the CPU remains at approx 30% even after Disk I/O falls to zero for a few seconds. Â My suspicion is that textures/scripts and such are bottle-necked and that the delay between scenes is those loading/running/uncompressing.
1) Are the Mod Organizer (MO) directories ever accessed during game play or are they only used at during install/initial run?
2) Could I pre-load the uncompressed images into a large ram drive to reduce overall load times and if so, how do I pre-decompress them and "tell" Skyrim where to find them?
