0 blacksol Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 The creation engine itself afaik. iirc it occurred in oblivion as well, cannot recall whether it happened in morrowind I am pretty sure it happens in vanilla as well so do not believe it is mod related.
0 dreadflopp Posted June 8, 2012 Author Posted June 8, 2012 I'll try vanilla then and report. Didn't notice it before.
0 dreadflopp Posted June 8, 2012 Author Posted June 8, 2012 Yes, happens in vanilla too. I'm pretty sure it wasn't this bad before though. Happen with all walls when i stand next too them. Might be nvidia drivers, recently updated to win 8 rp (had win 8 cp before). Nvidia will release new win 8 drivers next week i believe. Hopefully it'll work better with them.
0 ivactheseeker Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Try to set fNearDistance in Skyrim.ini to a lower value. Don't set it too low though, it'll increase Z-fighting.
0 torminater Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Yup, fNearDistance is the culprit along with your custom FOV-setting. If it's higher than 65 (game default afaik) you'll receive the same errors. Also in some spots see-through textures can occur on vanilla setup, too.
0 dreadflopp Posted June 10, 2012 Author Posted June 10, 2012 It was fNearDistance. Had it increased to decrease z-fighting. As much as I love skyrim, I wonder why bethesda can't make a bug free good looking game...always has to be fixed by the community. Thanks for the help. I'll tweak the value and see what works!
