The walls in game dissappears when getting close to them. Any idea what can cause this?

The creation engine itself afaik. iirc it occurred in oblivion as well, cannot recall whether it happened in morrowind

 

I am pretty sure it happens in vanilla as well so do not believe it is mod related.

Yes, happens in vanilla too. I'm pretty sure it wasn't this bad before though. Happen with all walls when i stand next too them. Might be nvidia drivers, recently updated to win 8 rp (had win 8 cp before). Nvidia will release new win 8 drivers next week i believe. Hopefully it'll work better with them.

Yup, fNearDistance is the culprit along with your custom FOV-setting. If it's higher than 65 (game default afaik) you'll receive the same errors. Also in some spots see-through textures can occur on vanilla setup, too.

It was fNearDistance. Had it increased to decrease z-fighting. As much as I love skyrim, I wonder why bethesda can't make a bug free good looking game...always has to be fixed by the community. Thanks for the help. I'll tweak the value and see what works!
