Trying to install STEP and have encountered peculiar problem after Clutter section

Typo on the subject. I got this error after the Animations and Effects section of Step 2.2.7. I imagine it has to do with FNIS or something that edits the skeletons. When I start the game I can't see any of the people and I am inside the horse on the cart instead of the back in the wagon. Anyone experience this issue before? Know what I missed? Thanks for the help and hardwork.

Did you install any additional mods not included in STEP? What is your load order? Did you run FNIS? Did you do any ini tweaks tha are not part of STEP? What are your sytem specs?

 

And last but not least: did you read THIS THREAD?

FNIS util was the problem. Since I moved my Skyrim to outside the steam dir it didn't look where it was actually installed and rather to where Steam installed it before I moved it, so the fix wasn't applied properly. My bad, you can delete or lock this thread.
