DoYouEvenModBro Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I feel like I can never get a good shot of the moons at night, especially with the 0.5x moon size mod recommended by STEP. Either the weather is cloudy or there is a bright aurora and the moons are hidden in darkness behind them.Â
DoYouEvenModBro Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 Just force clear skies weather...I've never changed weather through the console before. Do you happen to know the command for clear weather WITHOUT night aurora?
rootsrat Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 It's fw XXXXXXX - x's being weather code. All the vanilla and DLC ones are here: https://www.skyrimsearch.com/weather.php. CoT ones you can get by looking in TES5EDIT.
DoYouEvenModBro Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 Those clear night weathers that end in _A force the aurora, don't they? What would SkyrimClearVT and SkyrimClearSN do? Also SkyrimClearFF, etc.
rootsrat Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I don't know tbh, I didn't use FW for ages! :) Just test it in game.
DoYouEvenModBro Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 I don't know tbh, I didn't use FW for ages! :) Just test it in game. Will do. Also, do you know which 'months' produce full moons versus other moon iterations? That could be one of the reasons I couldn't really see the moon. Could have been a moon crescent or something.
DoYouEvenModBro Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 No problem. I'll try those weathers out and see what I can come up with. Thanks.
Aiyen Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Anything with _A at the end have auroras on yes. Also if you start the game with using coc then you will get full moons on both of them.

rootsrat Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Bring up the console while in Main Menu and type coc riverwood - or wherever you want to find yourself. Again, COC codes can be found here: https://www.skyrimsearch.com/cells.php
Aiyen Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 open the console from the main menu. type "coc riverwood" You can replace riverwood with any other cell... If you type "help whiterun" for example you get a list of all game elements with the word whiterun in it. Now if you scroll that list up using the pgup and pgdown buttons, then you will eventually get to the elements that have CELL in front of them. Those names you can replace riverwood with above. Example coc whiterundragonsreach Will place you inside the front door of dragonsreach. Damn you Root! :P
DoYouEvenModBro Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 And doing that automatically gives both full moons? Does it load your save file automatically too?
