Hi. As I've posted about previously, I've been installing SR (with some changes or updates based on out of date mods or mods I don't like, ex: UNP). I've run into an issue with hair and facial shaders (or something) for which I can't find much info. Some have suggested reinstalling Skyrim since the issue does persist with vanilla (though not as bad as it is when using texture mods such as AOF Hair or Beards).
What I'm wondering is: if I follow the STEP guide to return Skyrim to vanilla, will MO retain my load order and installed mods so that I can save time on reinstalling everything? Do I have to uninstall all the mods in MO first?
I do know that if I re-vanilla the Steam folder, I'll have to reinstall SKSE and ENB but is there anything else I should know beyond the STEP/SR Skyrim initial config stuff?
I really think this will help and I think it's safe but Skyrim can be tricky and I've only had one person (Nearox) confirm that this should work like I describe.
Was just hoping to get more opinions/guidance before I do anything. I've mentioned it in other forums where I thought it might be pertinent but I figure the best way to get the most attention is to post here in Troubleshooting and ask.
